Kill Bill’s David Carradine Found Dead
UPDATE: It now appears that David’s death may have been an accident - a result of autoerotic asphyxiation.
David Carradine, the actor best known for playing Kwai Chang Caine on the TV series Kung Fu and the title character in Kill Bill, was found dead in Thailand today. He was 72 years old.
The Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated star had been in the country to work on a new film titled Stretch. According to his manager, Chuck Binder, Carradine was found dead at his hotel. Although no official cause of death has been released, there are sad reports that David may have taken his own life. A Thai newspaper claims a hotel worker found the actor hanging in his room.
Read More David, who studied martial arts for nearly 40 years, was still active in his career. In addition to a recent appearance in Crank : High Voltage, he was reportedly set to appear in next week’s episode of FOX’s Mental. “He was full of life, always wanting to work… a great person,” Binder stated. Carradine is survived by his fifth wife, Annie, and his two daughters. (The clip below is from Kung Fu: The Movie. The 1986 TV movie also starred Brandon Lee, Bruce’s son.)
