Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
Daniel Craig: If you found out your Dream House was once the scene of a murder - what would you do? What would James Bond do? Next year, Daniel Craig will take on the Morgan Creek thriller set in a New England town. The film will be directed by Oscar nominee Jim Sheridan (In America).
Stephen Moyer: The True Blood actor has been added to the cast of Priest, a movie about…bloodsuckers. Moyer will play the brother of a priest who defies the church when vampires kidnap his niece. Filming on the Scott Stewart-directed thriller has already begun. Twilight‘s Cam Gigandet will also co-star in the drama.
Justin Theroux: The Tropic Thunder writer is returning in front of the cameras for Your Highness, a comedy being shot in Ireland. The Universal feature stars Danny McBride as a lazy prince on a mission to save his father’s kingdom. Theoroux will portray an evil wizard who kidnaps a princess (Zooey Deschanel).
Elizabeth Banks: The Zack and Miri star may have banked a role in The Next Three Days, the latest feature from writer/director Paul Haggis (Crash). Elizabeth would play a woman who claims she’s been wrongly convicted for a murder. Russell Crowe has already been cast as the man who tries to exonerate his wife. Production on the movie - a remake of a French thriller (Pour Elle) - begins next month.
Susan Sarandon: It appears the Academy Award winner will be climbing aboard Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. If confirmed, Sarandon will play Shia LaBeouf’s mother in the Oliver Stone-directed sequel. Others already attached to the film include MIchael Douglas, Frank Langella and Carey Mulligan.
Robin Williams: The License to Wed actor will be out to ruin more marriage plans in Wedding Banned. In the Disney comedy, Williams will team with his ex-wife to kidnap their daughter on her big day. During the process, the former flames will find themselves drawn together again.
