Later this fall, a new crop of aspiring performers will hit the big screen in , an update of the 1980 hit film. The movie, like the original, will center around students at New York High School of Performing Arts. Tutelage will be provided a number of television vets including Megan Mullaley, Bebe Neuwirth, Kelsey Grammar and Charles S. Dutton.

SYTYCD followers will also see two familiar faces. Season 4 contestant Kherington Payne will be featured as one of the students while choreographer Debbie Allen - who played Lydia Grant in both the film and the TV series - has been cast as Principal Simms.

Fame debuts on September 25.
