Gilles Marini‘s profile may have risen since his last appearance in Sex and the City, but that won’t guarantee him a spot in the upcoming sequel. In fact, the actor is not expecting to be asked at all.

“In the first movie, Dante helped Samantha realize maybe she’s not ready to be married and whatnot. But now she’s back in New York, so is the guy going to go to New York and all of a sudden they’re going to meet?” Marini said to TV Guide. “I believe it’d be great if I could come back, but it won’t make much sense and it’s pretty much a story between the four girls. I don’t know if I’d say yes or no, but there’s a big chance I’m not doing it.”

So he’s saying that storylines should actually make sense? Huh.

Fortunately, fans of the Dancing with the Stars runner-up can still get more of him for free. Gilles is scheduled to appear in several episodes of Brothers & Sisters next year.
