Jessica Alba Not Aiming to Be Taken Seriously

Jessica AlbaIn a recent interview with Allure magazine, told us why we’ll never ever take her seriously.  The pregnant actress apparently doesn’t care whether we like her work; she’s just interested in our theater dollars.

When asked why she doesn’t delve much into smaller independent fare, the 27-year-old responded:  “To me, box office is the most important thing. If the movie makes money, then I’m fine.”

She then went on to explain her affinity for money.  “I grew up not having a lot. I’m really happy to be making money, not depending on a man, and not having to suffer to survive in this business. Struggling is not fun. Been there, done that.”

Well, I, of course, have a few things to say to Jessica about her comments:

  1. While I’m sure there are many other actors who feel the same as you, I don’t think their reps would advise them to admit it.
  2. If you really care about your box office performance, don’t star in films like Awake...or The Eye...or The Ten.
  3. You better hope that body springs back post-pregnancy. Right now, you don’t have much else going for you.
