Robin Williams

Robin Williams will do his best to make us forget by becoming the World’s Greatest Dad. The new film for Darko Entertainment will have the actor working for Bobcat Goldthwait, the movie’s writer/director.

While Goldthwait is probably best known for stand-up acts (and his previous engagement to ), the comedian has also helmed many programs and was once the lead director on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

In Dad, Williams will play a high school poetry teacher who forges a suicide note after his son’s autoerotica-related death. The later-published letter eventually sparks the father’s writing career. (If you hadn’t already guessed it, this is a dark comedy.)

World’s Greatest Dad - also starring Alexie Gilmore () - begins filming in Seattle next week.
