Winona Ryder Confirms Heathers Sequel

As a fellow Veronica, I couldn’t think of anything more exciting.
Earlier this year, it was announced that Heathers, the 1988 cult classic, was being adapted for the stage. Now it’s looking as if a sequel will be produced as well.
In an interview with Empire, Winona Ryder confirmed that there is a plan to bring Veronica Sawyer and Jason “JD” Dean back to the big screen. “Whatever you hear, there is a sequel in the works. I swear to God,” she revealed to the magazine. “But for some reason the writer Dan Waters and director Michael Lehman don’t want to talk about it. I’ve been wanting to do a sequel forever. There is a story, and Christian [Slater] has agreed to come back as a kind of Obi-Wan character.”
Read More Obi-Wan character? I have no idea what that means, but I’m willing to go with it for now. But what will this all mean for Shannen Doherty? Could we see the 90210 star reprising her role as Heather Duke? Or will this even be about three girls named “Heather”? No other details about a possible start date were revealed. Oh, whatever. I gotta motor if I wanna be ready for that party tonight…
