Paris Forcibly Taken to Jail

Paris Hilton It’s always been difficult to keep track of Miss Hilton’s movements, but this is getting ridiculous. First, gets sentenced to serve jail time (45 days, to be exact). Next, that same sentence gets reduced. Then, Paris gets sent to jail, where by all accounts she is a respectful prisoner. Next thing you know, in fact in less than three days, she suddenly gets out of jail. Are you kidding us, LA county? An (ahem) “mysterious medical condition” was the catalyst that sparked Miss Hilton’s release, a medical condition that much of the media is already labeling a nervous breakdown. Hilton was sprung from the clink and forced to serve a home incarceration sentence in her posh. 2,700-square foot Hollywood Hills mansion. Punishment, my foot.  Here’s the problem: the LA city attorney’s office wants her back in jail. Right now.

Prosecutors have already filed the paperwork, and are threatening to find the sheriff’s department that released Paris Hilton from jail in contempt of court for failing to carry out the judge’s orders. The sheriff’s department was ordered to bring Paris to court this morning for a hearing on the issue. Hilton has been fitted with a monitoring bracelet and is supposed to be assigned to her home for the next forty days, a deal that’s not good enough for LA prosecution considering Superior Court Judge Michael Sauer specifically ordered that Paris could not be given alternative custody or electronic monitoring. Public outcry has been swift, with calls and emails flooding the city attorney’s office. The spokesman for the office said that 100% of the emails and calls received are to express anger at Hilton’s release. Every jail in the county has a medical unit, and Paris Hilton had already received two visits during incarceration from her very own psychiatrist (remember, we’re still talking less than 72 hours she was in jail), so even if her condition is mental the jail is well-equipped to handle the issue. After her hearing this morning, a crying and screaming Paris Hilton was ordered back to jail, this time to serve all of her original 45-day sentence. She was taken away from the courtroom in a patrol car following the hearing, amid a media circus.

What happens next with Miss Hilton, and all her various shenanigans, remains to be seen. None of her actions thus far have been at all surprising, however, and the real shock would be if Paris Hilton does serve all her time in jail.
