Ashley Tisdale aspires to be like her mother.

The High School Musical actress doesn’t have any interest in emulating her favorite actors, but would love to follow in her mother Lisa Tisdale’s footsteps.

“My mom is very confident, and she was always a role model of mine. I never really looked up to celebrities when I was young.” What a far cry from Lindsay Lohan’s role model!

Actress-and-singer Ashley also revealed that she has inherited her mother’s work ethic and fighting spirit: “I definitely work hard at stuff. I never give up on things. If I’m going to do something, I’m going to go a hundred per cent into it—just like my mom.”

Ashley recently admitted she knew she wanted to be famous from an early age: “I grew up in the business since I was three years old so I’ve always kind of been in front of the camera and grew up in commercials and I knew that I wanted to do it no matter what, I just loved it.”
