Emma Watson: The Highest Paid Actress of the Decade
Emma Watson is the highest paid actress of the past decade.
The Harry Potter actress - who plays Hermione Granger in the wizard film series, which started in 2001 - has been awarded the title by the Guinness Book of World Records.
The 19-year-old’s starring role in the six films, as well as her voice part in animated movie The Tale Of Despereaux, helped take $5.4 billion worldwide, putting the earnings ahead of some of Hollywood’s big players including Julia Roberts, Halle Berry and Cameron Diaz.
Watson also boasts the highest average box office receipts per movie, with each of her films making an average of $897,100,000.
Emma attended the open auditions for the first Harry Potter when she was just nine and had no idea what she was letting herself in for. “I had no idea of the scale of the film series. If I had I would have been completely overwhelmed,” she said.

THIS IS TOTAL INJUSTICE
ok shes really pretty, and perhaps a good actress and good human being.
but how does this justify anyone get paid millions for it?
face it- the ONLY reason her films make so much money is because of JK ROWLING!!!!
Emma just had the face of a famous book character, and got everything in the industry in her lap overnight! she has done NOTHING to deserve such high pay amongst other actresses!
other British actors have to work so hard, pay so many dues, to get a break in the industry. and then they have to work so hard to rise up in the ranks to get competitive pay and recognition. after each good film, they have to compete to maintain their assets.
emma didn’t have to do ANY of that hard work. she just got everything in her lap overnight!
this girl got 7 billion pound making films ALL ON A PLATTER!
she didn’t pay any dues- unlike other actresses
she didn’t have to worry about ANY ups and downs- unlike other actresses
she didn’t have to face any challenges throughout her career to make it today- unlike other actresses
so how is it fair for her to be earning more than other actresses?
when the other actresses have all worked so much harder, faced so many more challenges, and done so many more versatile roles to make it here?

sure but you can’t “hate” someone for making loads, she was 9 when it all happened i don’t really think she demanded such a high paying contract. And, plus, despite the money she still appears to be humble and quite nice. I doubt most people would stay that way with that kind of money, i mean she is even going to university after she finishes the movies which shows she’s not just another star riding off the money. In all honesty she deserves the money for being a child star who stayed grounded in comparison to most who got involved with hard partying and drugs.
I know saying you’re jealous would only set you off but seriously, Julia Roberts got paid $5million to be in that short part in the valentines movie. Yes, a short film appearance for a huge $5mil. So before you write anything, think about all the other factors. You have NO idea how hard Emma Watson might work and how hard the other actors do, so really you are in no place to judge
