Charlize Theron as Catwoman?Considering that Megan Fox can be counted out, Charlize Theron is now proclaiming how she’d love to “kick a*s” as Catwoman.

The Hollywood actress is thrilled to learn that she is in the running to play the super-villain alongside Christian Bale and Sir Michael Caine in the upcoming sequel to Batman blockbuster The Dark Knight.

“It’s news to me, but that’s kick-a*s news. I like that… I think that what has happened to that franchise is amazing, and director Chris Nolan is a genius. So I would be an idiot to not consider that.”

If the 34-year-old starlet accepts the role, she will be following in the footsteps of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry, who have both donned the iconic leather catsuit on the big screen.

Other actresses linked to the role include Angelina Jolie and Rachel Weisz.

Poor Michael Caine—ever since he seemed to confirm the Johnny Depp-Riddler rumors, the poor guy has been out of the loop with everything these days!

In an interview with MTV (nearly a year ago with the same interviewer with which the deed was done), Caine realizes that he can’t trust the newspaper these days:

“We talked about Johnny Depp and all that, which is in the paper! We trusted the newspapers, and I got into so much trouble. They said, ‘Johnny Depp’s not in it. Philip Seymour Hoffman’s not in it. There’s no script, there’s nothing.’ They said, ‘Why did you say that?’ I said, ‘Because the reporter I was talking to had the newspaper, and it said it in the newspaper, and I thought you’d announced that.’ So they said, ‘Shut up.’”

Bob Hoskins says that he's too old has ruled out starring in a sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit?.

The British actor, who played private investigator Eddie Valiant in the 1989 partially-animated movie, insists he is too old to return to the franchise.

The 66-year-old star said: “The thing is, you act with cartoons, you got to be able to bounce off the walls like a cartoon. So I’m too old. I’m too old now.”

Despite his reservations, Bob insists a sequel is not totally out of the question. Speaking about director , who recently claimed to have been in discussion with Bob about the proposed new film, the actor added to MTV: “I think he could do a sequel. He wouldn’t be able to do it with me. I’m too old!”

Public Enemies

What better holiday weekend cinematic fare than having guns, explosions, and the incredible acting skill of Johnny Depp?  Right?  Well, you’ll get all of the aforementioned in , however, all three do not make this movie as great as you would like. Public Enemies is a story about notorious bank robber, John DIllinger (Depp) and his love for Billie Frechette played by Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard and the impossibility of that love, all things considered.  Dillinger was Public Enemy number one to the United States, but also other crime syndicates, considering the heat his actions brought to the forefront.

Overall, the movie is only okay, but at times it seemed a bit too slow and if you’re the type that gets nauseous with shaky camera scenes, be forewarned.  Understand, this is a Michael Mann-directed film, so there will be a lot of pore-revealing close-ups, which actually humanizes the actors, and handheld type shots.  The acting is good, particularly from Depp, Cotillard, and , who does a way better job than he did in The Dark Knight.  In any case, the problem with the movie is that it didn’t strike a good mix between the love story and the bad deeds of Dillinger or establish certain characters and why we should care for them.

Watchmen Cast

UPDATE: Warner Bros. and FOX have settled the lawsuit.

Time hasn’t been kind to fans of Watchmen. Although we’ve already hit the New Year, the battle between Warner Bros. and 20th Century Fox has just grown nastier. So what will this mean for the March 6 premiere?

Late last month, U.S. District Court Judge Gary Feess ruled that Fox did have rights to the graphic novel adaptation. Although the studio had the opportunity to launch the film back in the late ‘80s (and had spent over a $1 million developing the project), the movie never came to fruition. Producer Larry Gordon allegedly agreed to check back with Fox first on any future plans, but later took over to Legendary Pictures and Warner. Fox filed then filed a lawsuit back in February claiming Gordon neglected to properly acquire their interest before making the move.

Tommy Lee Jones goes after Paramount

While Fox and Warner Bros. are dealing with their battles, Paramount now has to deal with one of their own, thanks to a $10 million dollar lawsuit compliments of Tommy Lee Jones.

The veteran actor is seeking payment that he claims is rightfully owed to him for the services he provided for the 2007 Coen Brothers’ hit, No Country For Old Men.

Although both Paramount and Jones declined to comment, the actor’s publicist simply pointed to the lawsuit, which notes a contract N.M. Classics (a subsidiary of Paramount’s) that promises Jones “significant box-office bonuses and ‘back-end’ compensation.”

Court sets date for Watchmen trialWhile most Watchmen fans only had the film’s release countdown to consider, a new development in the Watchmen copyright lawsuit has added a new date to watch out for: January 6.

U.S. District Court Judge Gary Allen Feess assigned the date for the case, which is set to decide whether or not Fox does hold the rights to the Watchmen movie. Between the January 6 court date and the film’s scheduled March 6 release, let’s hope that things go in the fans’ favor and they settle this between that time.

If the case goes according to Fox, fans of the highly-anticipated Zack Snyder film will never see that March 6 release happen, which could very well happen come January.

The dispute goes back to 1991, when Fox “quitclaimed” its right to Alan Moore‘s acclaimed graphic novel to Largo Entertainment, with an agreement that the production company was to release the movie under the big studio (if not, Largo Entertainment was to buy the rights through an agreed buyout formula from Fox).
