The period biopic will focus on Victoria’s first ruling years, as well as her torrid relationship with Prince Albert, portrayed by Rupert Friend. Paul Bettany and Miranda Richardson also star.

Hey Jacob Black - check out this wolf!

This remake of a 1941 film tells the story of Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro), a man who returns home after the mysterious death of his brother. Anthony Hopkins - who looks nothing like Benicio - plays his estranged father while Emily Blunt stars Gwen Conliffe, the love interest.
The Joe Johnston-directed film will leap into theaters on February 12, 2010.
Scarlett Johansson Talks ‘Iron Man 2’
Posted by Kathleen Kane Categories: Paramount, Action, Adaptation, Sequels, Casting, Filmmaking, Upcoming Releases
Newlywed Scarlett Johansson seems to have her eyes on comic book roles as of late. First was last year’s The Spirit; next up is the highly-anticipated sequel to Jon Favreau’s Iron Man as Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow.
Despite her scoring several Golden Globe nominations, Johansson wasn’t offered the role—Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada) was in line to portray the Russian spy. After Blunt dropped out due to scheduling conflicts, Johansson was quick to take action:
“I actually met with [director] Jon Favreau and [Marvel Studios executive] Kevin Feige a year before pre-production started. We just talked about some of the super heroines in the Marvel Universe and one of them was Black Widow. I think they were kind of toying with the idea of putting the character into the film and how they would work it in and all that. When I met Jon the second time I had red hair and a part of that, I think, was me wanting to experiment with my hair color and the other part of that was me kind of hoping that Jon would like the fact that I was experimenting.”

Box Office Breakdown: Vin Diesel Revs His Way Back to #1
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: 20th Century Fox, Disney, Miramax, Lionsgate, Paramount, Universal, Action, Adaptation, Animation, Drama, Family, Horror, Science Fiction, Sequels, Comedy, Thrillers, Box Office, Lists

Vin Diesel’s come a long way in just a short amount of time.
Back in September, the action star’s last film, Babylon A.D, debuted to a disappointing $11.5 million and a 2nd place finish. Seven months later, he’s nearly septupled that amount.
Fast & Furious, the fourth installment of the racing series, pulled in a whopping $70.9 million over the last three days. That gross easily broke the 2009 record set by Monsters vs. Aliens just one week ago. The movie reunited the original’s four stars (Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster) and bested the debut of 2003’s 2 Fast and 2 Furious by over $20 million.
Friday’s only other wide screen release, Adventureland, opened in 6th place with $5.7 million in ticket sales.
