Emma Watson Fell Ill on ‘Noah’ Set

Emma Watson on the set of 'Noah'Emma Watson was forced to take method acting to whole other level while filming Noah.

In an article for Wonderland magazine - which the 23-year-old guest edited - Emma revealed that she became sick after drinking some dirty water on set, where director Darren Aronofsky banned plastic water bottles: "I was so tired one morning I picked up a mug from my trailer and drank some stagnant water that had been there for the duration. I was so ill... Having no water bottles on set at five in the morning, when you're exhausted and delirious, wasn't ideal."

When she told Aronofsky that she wasn't feeling well, the director instructed her to use it for her scene. "I turned round to the bus and was like: 'Is he joking?' and there was deadly silence," Emma recalled.

Fans will see whether or not Aronofsky's directing methods work when Noah hits theaters March 28.

Emma Watson Feels Inadequate About Acting Skills

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Casting, Celeb News,

Emma WatsonEmma Watson constantly feels "inadequate" as an actress.

The 23-year-old actress lacks confidence when it comes to her abilities and always worries about being labelled a "fraud," despite finding success as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise and then acclaim for other roles, most recently The Bling Ring.

"It's called the impostor syndrome. It's almost like the better I do, the more my feeling of inadequacy actually increases, because I'm just going, 'Any moment, someone's going to find out I'm a total fraud, and that I don't deserve any of what I've achieved.' I can't possibly live up to what everyone thinks I am and what everyone's expectations of me are," she said.

Emma credits The Perks of Being a Wallflower director Stephen Chbosky for giving her confidence by casting her in the coming-of-age movie and helping her shake off the good girl stereotype she gained playing Hermione from the tender age of nine: "After Harry Potter I didn't feel very confident in myself as an actor. It's lucky that I've improved that now, but back then I needed someone to believe in me, and Stephen really did."

Emma Watson Watched ‘Kardashians’ to Prepare for Movie

Emma Watson on the set of 'Bling Ring'Emma Watson watched Keeping Up With The Kardashians to prepare for The Bling Ring.

The 23-year-old actress plays Nicki, a celebrity burgling teenager in Sofia Coppola's new movie and Emma watched reality TV so she could "understand the psychology" of her character. Speaking at the Cannes Film Festival, she said, "I watched a lot of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and The Hills, and I tried to understand the psychology of this kind of girl as much as possible. I didn't want her to be just a parody. The accent was hard as it was a particular kind of dialect. I also thought a lot about what her parents must have been like."

The movie is based on the real-life story of a group of teenagers who broke into the homes of celebrities including Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Orlando Bloom but Emma insists the film is not just another heist movie. "This really isn't a heist movie. It was about how these kids wanted to pretend for just two hours or so that they were actually Paris Hilton and living that life," she explained.

Emma Watson Feared Being Typecast

Emma Watson on 'GQ'Emma Watson was worried about being typecast after Harry Potter.

The 22-year-old actress - who appears on the May issue of British GQ magazine as her tattooed, pole-dancer character from The Bling Ring - admits she is attracted to playing wilder roles at the moment because she never wants to be forced to play the same character:

"Really I was open-minded about doing anything, but the one thing I didn't want to do was get myself into a corset because I was worried I'd never get out again. I knew it would be a really comfortable thing to do, but I felt... I had to dive into something really different. This has been a really big departure for me; it's a really big character."

Emma also revealed that while she loved playing law breaker Nicki in the upcoming drama about a group of fame-obsessed teenagers that use the internet to track celebrities' whereabouts in order to rob their homes in Los Angeles, which was based on real-life events, she hated the character.

Emma Watson Doesn’t Want ‘50 Shades’ Role

Emma WatsonEmma Watson doesn't want to star in the upcoming Fifty Shades of Grey movie.

While the 22-year-old actress was reported to be the frontrunner to play the female protagonist Anastasia Steele in the film - which is based on E. L. James' best-selling erotic novel of the same name - Emma isn't interested in the movie.

"Who here actually thinks I would do 50 Shades of Grey as a movie? Like really. For real. In real life (sic)," she wrote on Twitter.

The role would be a huge departure from Emma's previous movies as Anastasia is the love interest of Christian Grey, the male protagonist of the book who introduces her to the world of bondage and kinky sex.

Keira Knightley was also linked to the movie but the Pirates of the Caribbean star was equally unenthusiastic about taking on the raunchy role. When asked if her next project will be a more risque literary adaptation than she has done in the past, she replied, "No, it's not. It's not going to be Fifty Shades of Grey. You know, I normally don't like to give a definite about anything, [but] I can definitely say it will not be Fifty Shades of Grey."

Emma Watson in Talks to Star in Cinderella Adaptation

Emma WatsonEmma Watson may be dipping her toes back into a fantasy world with an updated film version of Cinderella.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower star is said to have her eyes on the Disney movie, in which Cate Blanchett has been cast as the evil stepmother and Kenneth Branagh has signed on to direct.

Fairy tale updates are becoming a trend these days... Aside from Universal's update of Snow White - starring Kristen Stewart - Disney has had the Sleeping Beauty-inspired film Maleficent in the works, in which Angelina Jolie plays the title villainess.

Emma Watson Stalker Crashes ‘Noah’ Set

Emma WatsonWhether she's Hermione attending school at Hogwarts or her non-magical self on the set of Noah, Emma Watson has not had a good relationship with the woods.

While filming Darren Aronofsky's film adaptation of the biblical story in Long Island, NY, Watson "screamed in terror" when she ran into a man among the trees - a man whom she recognized from hanging around her home. The man tried to escape the set, but security managed to capture him and sent for the police, although he was let off with a warning for trespassing.

"It was really creepy. Emma was really shaken up and was given some time to compose herself," a source told The Sun.

According to the insider, the stalker run-in only adds to Watson's stress about filming the project: "The movie has been grueling anyway and this left a very sinister feeling hanging over the set."

Emma Watson’s ‘Epic’ Kissing Scene

Logan Lerman and Emma WatsonEmma Watson enjoyed her "epic" kissing scene in The Perks of Being a Wallflower. The 22-year-old actress has a steamy smooch with Logan Lerman in the coming of age drama, and was so moved by the scene when she read the script, she knew she was going to have to be a special on set moment.

"I mean, when I read our first kiss scene, it's so epic. It's like the most beautiful scene I've ever seen written on a page. And it was like, 'Oh, we're going to have to kill this one!' Like, it's so good, I wanted to do it justice. And it's so emotional and we're both so vulnerable in it, but the main thing was I get to do it with Logan. He makes me feel so safe, so it's going to be fine, which made it fine," she told MTV News.

While Logan made Emma feel comfortable for the scene, he was not so confident about the kiss because he was nervous about locking lips in front of the crew. "[It was] nerve-racking. Those scenes are always hard to do when there's 15, 20 other people in the room," he explained.
