Michael Bay to Direct Transformers 4?
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Paramount, Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Science Fiction, Sequels, Thrillers, Casting, Celeb News, Filmmaking, Rumors, Upcoming Releases
Michael Bay is set to return to the Transformers franchise. Despite the director previously claiming he would not be in the frame to direct the rebooted series, the success of the third film Transformers: Dark of the Moon - which took over $1 billion at the international box office - has persuaded him to think again.
According to NYMag.com's Vulture blog, Michael could begin shooting on the project, which will not be a prequel to the original three films starring Shia LaBeouf, in late 2012 following his work on revenge thriller Pain and Gain.
Although details are not known about the story, it is thought it will focus more on the canon of the series and delve into old characters. A source told the blog, "Regular people might not care about bringing out a character like Sentinel Prime. But believe me, fans of the series cared."
Jason Statham is reportedly being considered for the lead role in the fourth film, with active discussions taking part between him and studio Paramount.

First Look: Transformers 3 Teaser Trailer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Paramount, Action, Adventure, Science Fiction, Sequels, Trailers, Upcoming Releases
I assure you – even though this trailer does not include any glimpses of Shia LaBeouf, a Michael Bay babe (a.k.a. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) or dizzying action, it is indeed for a Transformers film.
So where will Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon take us? Well, as the title suggests, to the actual moon -- with the crew of Apollo 11.
Maybe if President Obama gets a chance to watch the film next year, he’ll reconsider his position on sending more astronauts back there?
Transformers 3 will launch July 1, 2011.

UPDATE: Megan Fox is now claiming that she chose not to come back to the franchise.
It looks like a little bad-mouthing can go a long way.
Megan Fox may have compared Michael Bay to Hitler well over a year ago (and even made a “genuine” apology last fall), but it appears the sting from her comments has not yet subsided.
Although it was believed the dark-haired beauty would return to Transformers 3, it’s just been announced that the role of Mikaela Banes has been cut. Sources say the search for a new love interest for Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) has now begun.

Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
Patrick Dempsey: Michael Bay has paged Dr. Shepherd for next year’s Transformers 3. Not much is known about Dempsey’s “darker character,” but the Grey’s Anatomy hunk will reportedly serve as Megan Fox’s boss. That’s probably all he needs to know.

Austin Powers: The Shrek films may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean Mike Myers can’t tread into familiar territory. According to director Jay Roach, it’s quite possible we’ll be seeing another Austin Powers film. “You know, I hope so,” Roach said when asked about a sequel. “Mike’s working on ideas for it, people are definitely talking about it and I’m always good for it. I love those characters.”

Megan Fox Gets Emotional Over Transformers
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: DreamWorks, Paramount, Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Family, Science Fiction, Thrillers, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, Rumors
Quelling the rumors once and for all, Transformers actress Megan Fox accepted her Spike TV Scream Award for Best Sci-Fi Actress this past weekend with a heartfelt speech.
In her speech, she indirectly refers to the anonymous Transformers crew members who wrote a very anti-Ms. Fox letter, which circulated the internet so fast that it prompted even director Michael Bay to speak out about it.
Calling herself “a very ordinary part of an extraordinary film,” it almost seems like she comes close to tears at one point. Truly grateful, or does she have me fooled with her acting abilities?

X-Men: Although it’s been six years since X2, Bryan Singer says he may not be done with the comic book franchise. The director recently revealed that he’s entertaining the thought of another installment. “I’m still looking to possibly returning to the X-Men franchise. I’ve been talking to Fox about it,” Singer said. “I love Hugh Jackman. I love the cast,” he admitted. Brett Ratner was at the helm for 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand while Gavin Hood directed 2009’s Wolverine.

Megan Fox Outdone By Effects
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: DreamWorks, Paramount, Action, Thrillers, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip
In another interesting Megan Fox quote, the actress says that Transformers doesn’t show off her acting skills.
The starlet admits that she feels “pressured” to prove herself because she feels upstaged by the special effects used in the franchise.
“I have no idea about my future career. I just hope that I can still be working in 10 years. When you’re in something as successful as Transformers, you can’t use it as a sales piece for your ability as an actress because it’s all about the special effects. So you do sort of feel pressure to try and prove yourself. I have no idea what I’m capable of. I’m sort of finding that out now and testing my boundaries. I’m blessed with the opportunities that people are giving me—ones that I don’t maybe even deserve. But I’m not complaining.”
Megan can next be seen showing her talents in Jennifer’s Body, in which she plays a cheerleader out for revenge after she is killed in a satanic ritual, and says that she had to be “humiliated” to give a good performance: “I’m basically being stabbed to death by this evil rocker played by Adam Brody. I didn’t want to bulls**t my way through it because I would have been really embarrassed, so I had to allow myself to be humiliated and toyed with.”
