Harrison Ford Approached for ‘Blade Runner’ Sequel

Harrison Ford has been approached to appear in a sequel to Blade Runner.
The 71-year-old action movie star is being sought to reprise his role as bounty hunter Rick Deckhard in a sequel to the sci-fi classic, originally released in 1982. Already on board with the project are Ridley Scott, who directed the original movie, and Hampton Fancher, who adapted the screenplay from Philip K. Dick's book Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove, founders of Alcon Entertainment, who are developing the movie, told The Hollywood Reporter, "We believe that Hampton Fancher and Michael Green have crafted with Ridley Scott an extraordinary sequel to one of the greatest films of all time. We would be honored, and we are hopeful, that Harrison will be part of our project."
Harrison is already re-living his glory days with his current project, reprising his role as Han Solo for the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VII.

Chrisopher Nolan to Produce Wally Pfister’s Directorial Debut

Chrisopher Nolan will executive produce Wally Pfister's directorial debut.
The Dark Knight Rises director and his producing partner Emma Thompson have confirmed they will be working on the Oscar-winning cinematographer's first film as director, an unnamed thriller. Alcon Entertainment will fund the project. Christopher and Emma had previously joined forces with Alcon for their 2002 thriller Insomnia.
"Chris and Emma, with whom we worked so closely on Insomnia, are supremely talented, as filmmakers, as collaborators, as storytellers, in all ways large and small, and we are delighted to be in business with them again," commented producers Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove.

Hong Kong Phooey: There’s nothing audiences love more than talking dogs, so why not have them fight crime as well? Alex Zamm (Inspector Gadget 2) has been tapped to direct a live-action/animated version of the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon. In the original TV program, Scatman Crothers voiced the kung fu fighting title character. When Hong Kong Phooey wasn’t cleaning up a police station as a janitor, he was fighting crime on the streets. The series first debuted in 1974.

Cloris Leachman: She may not have won a mirror-ball trophy, but she was able to snag something even bigger. Oscar-winner Cloris Leachman was recently added to Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds (formerly spelled Inglorious Bastards) cast. The 82-year-old will cameo as Mrs. Himmelstein, an elderly Jewish woman who inspires Eli Roth’s character to seek vengeance. The WWII movie already has Brad Pitt, Mike Myers, Diane Kruger and B.J. Novak in its lineup.
