First Look: The A-Team Trailer


“There is no Plan B.” Well, that’s a shame…because I don’t think this crew brought their A-game to this trailer.

Although I had high hopes for the big screen version of , this clip’s left me underwhelmed. Here are a few of my snap judgments:

  1. Giving yourself a mohawk doesn’t necessarily make you B.A. Baracus…..or a good actor.
  2. Putting four guys together doesn’t automatically mean good chemistry.
  3. Scenes involving gunfire from a floating tank are bound to look cheesy.
  4. looks good in and out of a suit.

If you laughed when you initially heard about a big screen adaptation of the show, you weren’t the only one. - who looks an awful lot like George Peppard did - also thought it was a joke.

“When my agent said, A-Team, I said, ‘oh, please,’” the Oscar nominee told EW. So what finally got him on board? The script. “Some of these films can be so empty and bland, but this was riveting. Clearly a lot of thought had gone into it and it had a wonderful camaraderie between the guys,” the new Col. John “Hannibal” Smith stated.

The A-Team - also starring Bradley Cooper (Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck), Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (Sgt. Bosco “B.A.” Baracus) and Sharlto Copley (Capt. “Howling Mad” Murdock) - opens June 11, 2010.

For next year’s release of , the Easy Virtue star will play Amy Allen, an ex-flame of Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck (Bradley Cooper). Biel’s character is also an Army general - huh? - who is trying to track down the team. (How very Ocean’s Twelve of her.)

Others involved in the Fox production include actors (Col. John “Hannibal” Smith), Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (Sgt. Bosco “B.A.” Baracus) and District 9‘s Sharlto Copley (Capt. “Howling Mad” Murdock).

The A-Team will premiere on June 11, 2010.
