Angelina Jolie to Adopt Seventh Child

I suppose that foreign children are nice holiday presents for the Pitt-Jolies—Salt starlet Angelina Jolie is reportedly set to adopt a baby from Syria.

The Oscar-winning actress, who already has three adopted children, as well as three biological ones, with partner Brad Pitt, has started the process to bring home a baby girl from the Asian country.

Brad, however, is said to not be keen on the idea, but an undeterred Angelina began the proceedings on her own. A source said, “He has made it clear that six children are more than he can handle. The idea of one more seemed ludicrous, but Angie is determined to complete her rainbow family.”

A spokesman for the Immigration and Naturalization Service in Washington D.C. confirmed that “only Angelina’s name was on the adoption papers.” Angelina adopted her eldest son Maddox - now eight - from Cambodia in 2001, while she was still married to second husband Billy Bob Thornton, but was legally his only parent.

After splitting from Billy, she went on to adopt Zahara from Ethiopia in 2005 and soon after getting together with Brad, he legally became the father of both children. The couple then had their first biological child, Shiloh, in May 2006 before adopting Pax - now five - from Vietnam in March 2007. They then became the proud parents of twins, Knox and Vivienne, who were born in July 2008.

Jason Schwartzman Eyed Up Clooney

Megan Fox won’t have to worry about Jason Schwartzman staring at her—he seems to have eyes for George Clooney.

The Rushmore actor said working with George Clooney on animated film Fantastic Mr Fox was a bizarre and amazing experience.

“Typically when you’re working with someone it’s not kosher to just kind of gaze at them because you’re usually on camera as well. But when we were sitting around a table with just a recorder, it was really nice for me to be able to look at George. I admit I might have actually been staring. Obviously, he’s a handsome gentleman, but what I found fascinating was just kind of watching him work. It was like having a front row seat in an acting class.”

Jason, 29, said director Wes Anderson got the cast to spend lots of time together, so he could capture audio of them interacting: “He also took us to this farm on a field trip where we ran around and played in the dirt and did all sorts of crazy things. I was like, ‘I can’t believe my life has come to this moment where I’m on the ground digging with George Clooney.’ It was so bizarre and amazing.”

Crazed Fan Tries To Run Down Jesse James, Sandra Bullock’s Husband

When you’re a movie star, even enjoying a relaxing Sunday afternoon at home is difficult. There are press junkets to do, filming to complete, autographs to sign…crazed fans hanging out around your house. Sandra Bullock and husband Jesse James were enjoying a quiet weekend when Marcia Diana Valentine, a huge Bullock fan, came to the couple’s home. It is unclear both what the fan wanted and how she managed to track down Bullock at her personal address. When asked to leave, Valentine hopped into her Mercedes and proceeded to attempt to run over Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James – more than once. Police were soon on the scene to locate Valentine and offer protection. Bullock’s husband is uninjured, and the guilty party has since been captured. Valentine will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon, because poor taste doesn’t hold up in a court of law.

Lohan Joins Alcoholics Anonymous

Lindsay Lohan (Mean Girls, Freaky Friday) has begun attending A.A. meetings, according to her publicist.  The twenty-year-old actress has been portrayed in recent years as a wreck, partying irresponsibly and brazenly feuding with other celebrity divas like Hillary Duff and Paris Hilton.  Her controversy recently culminated with an allegedly inebriated, Blackberry-mashed email to family members of the late director Robert Altman, with whom she recently worked on A Prairie Home Companion.  The email expressed her condolences amid many misspellings and grammatical errors, now thoroughly ridiculed by the press.

Publicist Leslie Sloan said Friday that Lohan made the decision on her own to attend A.A., but doesn’t want people to think “she’ll stop drinking tomorrow.”  Sloan went on to say, “I want everyone to leave her the hell alone.  I’m so bored of this with her.  No matter what she does, it’s never good enough for everybody.”

At FilmCrunch, we completely disagree – Lohan receives exactly as much criticism as she deserves, including that which surrounds her films and performances.  She may have had good intentions when writing Altman’s family, but a letter like that should be carefully considered – spelling and grammar thoroughly checked – before it’s sent, especially when living under constant public scrutiny.  The reason she’s “never good enough” is that her life revolves solely around heavy drinking, all-night partying, shopping, and film performances that are consistently unchallenging and trite; this is not a life worthy of much respect.  However, Lohan is now attempting some self-improvement, that which could help to amend her damaged public image.  Will recent roles in A Prairie Home Companion and Bobby steer Lohan into more reputable cinema?  Could A.A. be the first step in her rebirth as an actor, role model, and overall contributor to society?  Maybe, but we’re pretty confident that she’ll fall back off the wagon, and when she does, the paparazzi will be there snapping pictures of her drunken, spoiled, panty-less crotch.
