Jon Hamm Wants George Clooney’s Career

Jon Hamm and George Clooney

wants to be the next George Clooney.

The actor - who has long-been compared to the Hollywood hunk - confesses he would “love to emulate” the Men Who Stare At Goats star’s career because of the variation of his work.

“We already have a perfectly serviceable , but that’s certainly someone whose career I would love to emulate because he’s been able to work in various genres and walk the line between drama and comedy. He also got started very late in life because ER came when he was well into his thirties, so he bounced around, not unlike me, from show to show and failed pilot to failed pilot, and then ER happened and he blew up.”

It’s All in the Family: Hollywood Nepotism

Hollywood sign

In most places of business, nepotism is frowned upon. In Hollywood, it’s part of standard casting policies. Why is it okay for La La Land to offer opportunities to unknown - but well-connected - actors, when hiring regulations are in place for every other industry in the country? Let’s dip our toes into the Tinseltown gene pool and see how many family trees we can count.

If you haven’t heard by now, Will Smith’s son is going to become the next A-list, must-have child star. He’s starring in the new Karate Kid reboot (a movie that’s unnecessary at best), and now he’s putting his on display in a movie soundtrack tie-in. Like it’s not already great being Will Smith’s kid, Jaden, 11, is now forging a strong career in the “family business.” Which just happens to be multi-million-dollar movie and recording contracts. Nice.

Is Jaden Smith the most talented kid for the ? Are his rap skills so superior that he deserves the outpouring of press he’s been getting for his involvement with the film’s theme song?

Frankly, it doesn’t f&*^ing matter. The Karate Kid reboot (which, we hate to break it to you, does

not

feature karate) is produced by and from its inception was intended as a Jaden Smith vehicle. No one else ever auditioned for the role of the Karate Kid, not that anyone else had a snowball’s shot in hell of landing it anyway.

Hollywood has always been the land where dreams come true…if you’ve already got an “in.”

Sarah Jessica Parker Game For Sex and the City Prequel

SJP as Patty Green in Square PegsSarah Jessica Parker wants to play Carrie Bradshaw in a possible prequel.

The 45-year-old actress insists advances in video technology would make it possible to play the journalist as a teenager, as depicted in creator Candace Bushnell’s latest book The Carrie Diaries.

“Who do I want to play teenage Carrie? I don’t know. Maybe they should use old footage of me. And in this new age of , what about a new 17-year-old S.J.?”

In the early 80s, Sarah Jessica was starring as Patty Greene in TV series Square Pegs and insists the character was a good representative of the early Carrie. “That might have been Carrie in high school,” she joked.

The actress - who has seven-year-old son James Wilkie and 11-month-old twins Marion and Tabitha with husband - recently admitted she plans to take her eldest child to see Sex and the City 2, but will take him out of the cinema during the raunchier moments.

“If I can manage to take him out for popcorn for two certain moments, I think he’s ready for it. He has too many questions, and he’s too clever for us to keep it from him. I wouldn’t say this movie is for seven-year-olds, but we’ll find a way of figuring it out.”
