Getting Into Character: Lindsay Lohan Acts Like a Porn Star

Lindsay Lohan as Linda Lovelace

Despite her blatant lying about partying in Cannes, a few new photos (check out another one after the jump) from Lindsay Lohan’s photographer friend Tyler Shields says that the actress just may be serious about portraying 1970’s porn star Linda Lovelace of Deep Throat fame.

Shields posted a few photos that he, Lohan, and director Matthew Wilder collaborated on, in an effort to hype up Inferno.

Flashback to the seventies! Do you think that Lohan can kick the booze, hone her acting skills, and pull this off?

Gael Garcia Bernal Defends His Character

Gael Garcia Bernal with Amanda Seyfried on set‘s character in Letters to Juliet is not unloving.

The 31-year-old actor claims his character in the romantic movie is not a “jerk,” and says he never morally judges any role he takes on.

“I wouldn’t call him a jerk. My character, I think, is actually very concentrated on the things he likes and the thing is, right now, his girlfriend is not able to follow him and share with him that excitement.”

The actor - who plays Victor in the movie alongside Mamma Mia! star - also admits to having a great time filming in Italy for the romantic drama: “I did the film just to have fun ... to enjoy working with the group of actors that were here. To spend some time in Italy!”

And despite the fact his character isn’t the best chef in the film, Bernal thinks he gets away with it. He told MTV News, “He knows a lot about what he’s doing, more than any of us know about cooking, and the Italian culture. I wouldn’t judge him. I don’t like judging characters at all morally.”

Letters to Juliet - which also stars - will be released this Friday, May 14.

Johnny Depp Mad for Hatter Role

Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter is honored to play the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland.

The 46-year-old actor admits his eccentric character in ‘s film, based on the classic children’s novel, was a “dream” role.

“To play the Mad Hatter and breathe life into Tim’s vision is a dream come true. He’s a fascinating character. He’s mad. He’s unpredictable.”

Depp also suggests the Mad Hatter will have a great affection for the movie’s protagonist, Alice, played by actress : “They complete one another like a brother and sister do. He’s very protective of her, and she’s very protective of him.”

Earlier this month , who plays the White Queen in the movie, admitted the original script had her playing the lead role of Alice - but she turned it down as she felt it was too close to a previous role.

“The studio had the Alice script a long time ago and I was approached back then for the part of Alice. I considered it, but felt, what with The Princess Diaries, that I had been there, done that sort of pretty-girl-in-a-fairy-dress role. I told the studio, however, that I would, however, be interested in playing the White Queen.”

follows a storyline different to the original story, written by Lewis Caroll, and will be released in early March.

Michael Cera Embraces Womenswear

Michael Cera and Portia Doubleday in Youth in Revolt

enjoyed wearing a dress for his latest film role.

The Superbad actor - who plays two characters, an aspiring novelist Nick Twisp, and man of action Francois Dilinger in his latest film, - said he didn’t mind donning a dress for the role, because it was better than being stripped down to his boxers.

“I was just relieved to have something on. I was doing a scene with just boxers on before that, so it was just nice to not have people see me as much. That’s why it was so comfortable. I don’t think I was thinking about the dress. I was trying to remember what to say.”

Michael Sheen Apologizes For His Hair

Michael Sheen as AroMichael Sheen apologized to his daughter for not being bald.

The actor’s 10-year-old daughter Lily, whose mother is actress Kate Beckinsale, was delighted when he landed the role of Aro in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, but the Frost/Nixon star was worried that his depiction wouldn’t match up with fans’ ideas of the role.

“I said, ‘What does he look like?’ She said, ‘He’s bald.’ I think she was mixing it up with Nosferatu, the old vampire, you know? But it shows that people, and this is the beauty of books for a start, that your imagination creates your own version of these characters. And so when a film comes along and you’re kind of going, ‘No, it looks like this,’ then that’s a very delicate thing to get right or to find a way to meet everyone’s imaginary requirements of the character. So I was very aware of that because of my own daughter. I said, ‘Sorry, I’m not bald. I’ve got long hair.’”

When working on his interpretation of Aro, Michael immersed himself in Stephenie Meyer‘s novels which the movies are based on.

“I would have loved to have talked to Stephenie loads about it, but I just kept rereading a few of the chapters in the book - especially the opening chapter where she describes Aro - just looking for anything that would help give me a clue. And then I was just left to my own devices.”

Taylor Lautner Actually Does Not Mind Being Shirtless

Taylor Lautner's Jacob Black takes his shirt off for BellaNew Moon hunk Taylor Lautner recently corrected a quote that he made regarding his shirtlessness, saying that he has no problems with taking clothes off for future roles. Good to know that the world won’t implode now.

“I love this character and I loved putting on the weight, and not wearing much clothing was required by the role. If a year from now, I love a character and a role, I will do it again.”

Here’s to hoping that screenwriters can hook up us fan girls with that…

Lautner also admits that he can’t help but laugh when he watches the scene where Jacob rips his shirt off to daub Bella’s bleeding head: “I start laughing so hard every time I see that scene, ‘Oh, you’re bleeding. OK, Let me fix that.’ So embarrassing.”

Director Yells Cut on Sex and the City Rumors

Chris NothThe Internet has been aflame since the telltale slip was released that a character will be offed in the upcoming motion picture. Many have speculated on just who will find a horrible fate with the franchise, but are any of them right?

Carrie’s black hair, leading trailers and general paranoia have led to one convincing rumor that it will, in fact, be who perishes in the film.

Director Michael Patrick King, who also supplies the commentaries for the DVDs, put an end to those rumors in recent statements to the press. “Kill Mr. Big?” King asked rhetorically. “I would have been chased around the planet by women with torches.” And that’s not even the half of it.

But with that statement, the director closed the door on all the current Sex speculation about actor ‘s character. If Mr. Big won’t die…then, who will? “It’s a summer movie,” King told reporters. “Why would I want to kill anyone?” Could it be that the biggest Sex and the City slip of the season wasn’t even reality?
