Seth Rogen and James Franco made a huge splash with Pineapple Express, Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are bona fide box office gold and now Sean William Scott and Paul Rudd are joining the fray with a comedy of their own. There’s something magical about a non-romantic funny duo…or at least, they can be money-making magic for the film studios. But out of all these pairs we’ve seen grace the screen, which twosome stands out most?

• Bottle Shock* (PG-13): starring Alan Rickman, Chris Pine, Bill Pullman, Eliza Dushku (directed by Randall M. Miller)
• Elegy* (R): starring Penelope Cruz, Ben Kingsley, Patricia Clarkson (directed by Isabel Coixet)
