First Look: Dornan, Johnson as ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Couple

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele

Does Jamie Dornan get into character faster than you can say, "Tie me up," or what?

Less than a month has passed by since Dornan was cast as Charlie Hunnam's replacement for the role of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey, and Entertainment Weekly is already showcasing him and co-star Dakota Johnson in character (as if the film even needs that much promotional work ahead of its release!).

Dornan is seen giving one of the most intense, sexual stares probably to ever grace an entertainment magazine while Johnson - in her recently darkened locks - looks unsurprisingly innocent, wide-eyed, and Lolita-like. The infamous silver tie featured on the cover of the book also makes an appearance, tied tightly around Dornan's fist.

Despite the apparent rush to begin promotional work for the film, fans will have to wait until February of 2015 to see it hit theaters. Talk about torture!

Daniel Radcliffe Wasn’t Interested in ‘Fifty Shades’ Role

Daniel RadcliffeDaniel Radcliffe wasn't interested in being cast in Fifty Shades of Grey.

The Harry Potter star had no desire to play male lead Christian Grey in the film adaptation of E.L James' erotic novel and is pretty sure film fans didn't want him over Charlie Hunnam either, who has been cast in the role.

Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival, he told MTV News, "I literally had someone say to me for the first time today, 'The world's in uproar you're not playing Christian Grey.' And I'm like, 'If this is uproar, it's inaudible.'"

The 23-year-old actor doesn't think he would have been able to convincingly portray the BDSM obsessed businessman character and it would have only hurt his career if he'd been cast. "I have to say, no offense to anybody, I'm sure they're going to do a great job on the movie, but it's not something that I think of would have been a good next step for me," he added.

Has Gus Van Sant Found His Christian Grey?

Alex PettyferThe film adaptation of controversial romance novel 50 Shades of Grey might have found its leading man.

It is rumored that director Gus Van Sant had British actor Alex Pettyfer - whom you may recall as Adam from Magic Mike - test for the role of Christian Grey, the protagonist of E.L. James' steamy romance novel. While nothing is set in stone just yet, sources say that Van Sant has had Pettyfer test a scene with an unknown actress in order to impress the film's producers.

Ryan Gosling and Zac Efron are among some of the stars whose names have been suggested for the role of Christian.

As for the role of the female lead, Anastasia Steele, both Elizabeth Olsen and Emma Watson have ruled out the possibility of accepting the part.

There's no word yet as to when the film is due to be released.
