Captain America, Thor Trailers Revealed During Super Bowl

Super Bowl XLV was peppered with commercials for cars (which most of us can’t afford, given the economic climate) and movies (which we can afford, but we’ve got to be convinced it’s worth it first).

But, there were two movie trailers that managed to shine above all the rest. It’s almost time to meet two of Marvel’s new-old superheroes, and you can whet for your appetite for action with their new trailers. Follow the jump to see the trailers for the new Thor and Captain America movies.

Don LaFontaine: The Man Behind the Voice Dies

A well-known voice was silenced this weekend.

Don LaFontaine, the man behind nearly 5000 trailers and 350,000 commercials, died Monday at a hospital in Los Angeles. The 68-year-old’s death was due to complications after a collapsed lung.

Although LaFontaine was mainly known for his legendary pipes, his face recently got air time thanks to a Geico commercial. (That spot can be seen after the jump.) In the meantime, you can familiarize yourself with some of Don’s great voiceover work in the clip below.

Hellboy’s Television Campaign
