Fanning Sisters Drop Out of Co-Starring Roles

Dakota and Elle Fanning has dropped out of the film project My Sister’s Keeper, a movie which would have united Dakota and her little sister, Elle, in film for the first time. The elder Fanning passed on the film because the role called for her to shave her hair, so Elle quickly backed out as well.

Never fear - there are plenty of child actresses around. Er, maybe just one - . The Definitely, Maybe star (who is suddenly all over the place) will now take over for Elle Fanning while Sofia Vassilieva (from Medium) will fill in for Dakota.

Production will begin in March, barring any future major casting changes.

Another Fanning Finding Stardom

Dakota FanningCute little is growing up quickly, and moving into teen roles instead of playing the adorable tyke - and can’t do every female kid role available in the movies, right? Enter , Dakota’s little sis and perhaps the next kid star in the making.

Elle has already appeared in big-name movies (e.g. ), but now she’s moved into the lead. This little sis is playing the title role in , which recently premiered at the . Young, troubled Phoebe sees a therapist in the flick, displaying a precocious nature akin to her big sister’s. She signs up to become Alice in Wonderland (that’s how the title figures in), and Phoebe’s imagination takes over.

Reviewer comments on the film have been highly positive.
