Mr. T Angry Over A-Team Remake

Mr. T Mr. T has blasted movie for being too graphic.

The actor claims the big screen adaptation is not family-friendly like the cult series he starred in as B.A. Baracus - who is played in the new film by Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson - from 1983 to 1987 and turned down a cameo role because he was unhappy with the plot.

“They offered me a cameo role but I turned it down because I knew what was coming. People die in the film and there’s plenty of sex but when we did it no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment. These seem to be elements nobody is interested in any more. It was too graphic for me. I’ve no doubt it will do big business at the box office but it’s nothing like the show we turned out every week.”

Actor Dirk Benedict has previously spoken out about feeling “insulted” at being a handed “three second” role in the film because the producers wanted to say they had used the original cast. Dirk - whose role of Templeton “Faceman” Peck has been taken on by - said, “If you blink, you’ll miss me. I kind of regret doing it because it’s a non-part. They wanted to be able to say, ‘Oh yeah, the original cast are in it’, but we’re not. I’m on for a mere three seconds and I find that kind of insulting.”

The film comes out in theaters this Friday, June 11.

Quote of the Day: Bradley Cooper on His A-Team Physique

Bradley Cooper in The A-Team

“I had to literally transform my body. As the movie progressed, I got in increasingly better shape. There’s this one fight scene with toward the end, where it’s, like, the apex of the work. We finished and Joe’s like, ‘Brother, come here, look at this,’ and he played it back, and I swear to God, it looked like my head was digitally superimposed onto someone else’s body. I was like, ‘This cannot be me—that’s the way I look?’ It was so f**king surreal, ‘cause as a kid I only fantasized about looking that way. Remember Soloflex commercials? That was huge when I was a kid. It was like, ‘I wanna be the Soloflex guy. Mom, can we get the Soloflex?’”

- talking about the body he achieved for his role of Lt. Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck in The A-Team.

First Look: The A-Team Trailer

“There is no Plan B.” Well, that’s a shame…because I don’t think this crew brought their A-game to this trailer.

Although I had high hopes for the big screen version of , this clip’s left me underwhelmed. Here are a few of my snap judgments:

  1. Giving yourself a mohawk doesn’t necessarily make you B.A. Baracus…..or a good actor.
  2. Putting four guys together doesn’t automatically mean good chemistry.
  3. Scenes involving gunfire from a floating tank are bound to look cheesy.
  4. looks good in and out of a suit.

Were you more impressed with the trailer than I was? Then be sure to set aside June 11 on your calendar.
