Baking Buff Rumer Willis
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Horror, Mystery, Thrillers, Celebrity Gossip
Newly turned 21-year-old Rumer Willis would much rather bide her time making pies than doing the Hollywood scene.
The Sorority Row actress, who is the daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, can’t resist her cravings for sugary baked goods, so she spends her free time in the kitchen.
“I just don’t care about fame. I have better things to do—like making pies. I love making pies. It all started when I went on a road trip with my boyfriend. We stopped off at this diner and had this strawberry and rhubarb pie, and I thought, ‘This is incredible. I’m going to learn how to make it.’ So I did.”
Rumer is so accomplished at baking, she even treats Demi and her stepfather Ashton Kutcher to their favorite pies.
“My mom likes either pecan pie or German chocolate, and I just made a coconut banana cream pie for Ashton. He liked that very much. It was gone in a matter of three days.”
First Look: Check Out the New Talent in Fame
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: MGM, Musicals, Remakes, Trailers, Upcoming Releases
If the judges of So You Think You Could Dance and American Idol ever taught at a high school, it might look a little something like this.
Later this fall, a new crop of aspiring performers will hit the big screen in Fame, an update of the 1980 hit film. The movie, like the original, will center around students at New York High School of Performing Arts. Tutelage will be provided a number of television vets including Megan Mullaley, Bebe Neuwirth, Kelsey Grammar and Charles S. Dutton.
SYTYCD followers will also see two familiar faces. Season 4 contestant Kherington Payne will be featured as one of the students while choreographer Debbie Allen - who played Lydia Grant in both the film and the TV series - has been cast as Principal Simms.
Fame debuts on September 25.

Cast Members for Fame Remake Announced
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: MGM, Drama, Music, Musicals, Casting, Upcoming Releases
Although it’s about time for Hollywood to start making over projects from the 90’s, MGM has decided it will be retooling a classic from 1980.
Realizing musicals are not dead to theatergoers, the studio is planning to bring a new version of Fame to today’s audiences. The update - like the Academy-Award winning original - will take place at the New York High School of Performing Arts and feature a wide range of talented artists including dancers, pianists and filmmakers.
Instead of waiting to release the movie on the original’s 30th anniversary, MGM has scheduled the premiere for September 25, 2009.
Actors already selected for the remake include Kristy Flores, Paul Iacono, Paul McGill, Naturi Naughton, Kay Panabaker, Kherington Payne, Collins Pennie, Walter Perez and Anna Maria Perez de Tagle. (Followers of So You Think You Can Dance might remember Kherington’s name from Season 4 of the competition.)

Disney’s Camp Rock will soon delight tweens and teens with tuneful summer fun. Isn’t it possible to strive for higher in the high school movie genre? Check out my list of the Top 5 High School Movies, and find out if your favorite made the cut.
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Sean Penn as a stoner and Jennifer Jason Leigh as a budding young slut - what says high school quite like that? This uproariously funny cult classic will absolutely never go out of style (I think it has something to with Judge Reinhold). The music and fashion might be dated, sure, but certain truths always remain despite the years that pass.
