X-Men: Although it’s been six years since X2, Bryan Singer says he may not be done with the comic book franchise. The director recently revealed that he’s entertaining the thought of another installment. “I’m still looking to possibly returning to the X-Men franchise. I’ve been talking to Fox about it,” Singer said. “I love Hugh Jackman. I love the cast,” he admitted. Brett Ratner was at the helm for 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand while Gavin Hood directed 2009’s Wolverine.

UPDATE:  Nicolas Cage vs. Kathleen Turner

A while ago we told about you Nicolas Cage’s beef with his former Peggy Sue Got Married co-star.  In a new autobiography, actress Kathleen Turner claimed Cage was a bit of troublemaker around the time the two worked together.

“He caused so many problems. He was arrested twice for drunk-driving and, I think, once for stealing a dog. He’d come across a chihuahua he liked and stuck it in his jacket.”

Well Cage was so irked by the accusations he had a defamation and libel suit filed in London’s High Court.  The actress’ UK publishers and Britain’s Daily Mail (a newspaper that printed an excerpt from the book) were also named in the complaint.

Box Office Breakdown: 300 Loses Steam, Remains Strong

Box Office Breakdown: 300 Tears It Up

Ghost Rider and Wild Hogs step aside.  Throngs of men in need of a testosterone-laden movie were apparently craving more than just motorcycles.  According to the latest box office numbers, what they really needed were swords.  And blood.  And Spartan women. 

Trapped inside a crowded theater this weekend, I knew 300 would be successful.  But who could have guessed it would be this big??  The latest movie to be based on a Frank Miller graphic novel raked in nearly $71 million.  That’s the largest opening for a movie in March…ever.  Additionally, it was the 3rd largest opening for an ‘R’ rated movie (right behind The Matrix Reloaded and The Passion of the Christ).
