Johnny Knoxville is "honored" that Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa is nominated for an Oscar.
The 42-year-old actor - who co-wrote, produced and starred in the movie, where he plays an 86 year-old man - is proud of the fact his film could win one of the most esteemed awards in the movie business for Best Make-Up and Hairstyling.
"A film associated with Jackass [franchise, known for its wild and often puerile stunts] is nominated for an Oscar. It's a big deal. We're very honored. It also makes us giggle. You know what we do," he told USA Today.
In the movie Johnny plays Irving Zisman, who is on a journey across America with his eight year-old grandson, and their stunts and the trouble they got into was filmed in the real world, capturing the reactions of the general public.

Gravity had a nice three weeks at number one, but the critically-acclaimed space film starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock was apparently no match for the latest Jackass film, Bad Grandpa.
Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa - which sees veteran Jackass-er Johnny Knoxville as the eponymous patriarch - debuted at number one this weekend with $32 million, which effectively left Gravity in the dust with its $20.1 million, which secured it a second place spot. Captain Phillips dropped one spot to number three with $11.6 million while the much-hyped The Counselor debuted at number four with $7.8 million. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 remained at number five with $6.2 million.

Here’s the latest scoop on the sequel buzz spreading across Hollywood:
Zombieland: Prepare for another attack of the walking dead—this time in 3D. Sony has already greenlighted a follow-up to Zombieland, the recent comedy starring Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg. “Everyone had fun watching (the first) Zombieland; making it a more visceral experience can only make it better,” producer Gavin Polone said. “I don’t think you want to see Ordinary People in 3-D. But Zombieland is clearly one movie that will benefit from (the technique).” Director Ruben Fleischer has been confirmed for the sequel while discussions are being had with the two main stars.
