Joe Jonas Wants to Become an Actor

Joe Jonas wants to move into acting.
The singer has broken his silence following rumors the Jonas Brothers - the band he plays in with siblings Kevin and Nick - have split up after their Twitter account was deleted, although he refused to talk about their future and potential break-up: "I'm not going to talk about that right now ... I think acting would be fun. I would like to [get into that]."
Speculation of the band's demise has been circulating following their social networking profile being taken down, and it is said the rift has come from major musical differences. Jesse Derris, spokesperson for the boy band - who formed in 2005 - previously said, "There is a deep rift within the band. There was a big a disagreement over their music direction."
The "SOS" trio are still said to be close and on "speaking" terms, despite their US tour being cancelled following a major argument. "It's not a personal fight, it's about the music. They are brothers, they love each other. Yes, they are still speaking," a source added.

Box Office Breakdown: Tyler Perry Surprises the Jonas Brothers
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: 20th Century Fox, FOCUS, Disney, Fox Searchlight, Lionsgate, Sony, Warner Bros, Action, Adaptation, Drama, Family, Music, Romance, Comedy, Thrillers, Box Office, Lists,
Back in February 2008, Hannah Montana grossed a record $31.1 million during its first weekend. Now, just over a year later, the Jonas Brothers can say they pulled in less than 1/2 as much.
Although there were high hopes for Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, the musical trio was unable to match the work of dual personalities. (The movie even played in twice as many screens as the Miley Cyrus version.) As it was, the teen heartthrobs were only the second biggest draw this weekend. The good news? The boys did have the best per screen average of any entry in the Top Ten.

Jonas Bros in Theaters Friday
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Disney, Musicals, Upcoming Releases,
Disney’s Jonas Brothers held a press conference recently to drum up publicity before the release of their new concert film, Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience, scheduled to hit theaters this Friday.
“We can’t give too many details as to what cities or how many cities we’ll be going to,” Nick Jonas stated. “This is a concert experience not only because you’re watching a show, but because you’re a part of it. You’re a part of our family in the movie and we want to be there with them when they see it.”
Isn’t that sweet? But will even this clever bit of promotion help the Jonas Brothers movie beat the Miley Cyrus flick at the box office? Not bloody likely.

Hannah Montana’s Deleted Jonas Brothers Clip
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Disney, Documentary, Music,
Given the insane popularity of the Jonas Brothers, it’s hard to imagine that the trio would be cut out of anything at this point. But in this year’s Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour, fans were left without one of the boy band’s numbers.
In the snippet below, you can see a short clip of the brothers performing “SOS.” The performance will be included on the movie’s DVD, which is being released tomorrow.
BTW - Am I the only one wondering if Joe Jonas was stuck in that half-split? Or he did he intend to take it (really) slow while getting back up?

Details on the Jonas Brothers Movie
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Disney, Documentary, Music, Upcoming Releases,
If you got caught in the mania behind February’s Hannah Montana movie, consider this your warning. You now have just over six months to go until the Jonas Brothers have their turn.
Early next year, fans of Nick, Joe and Kevin will get their chance to see the hot boy band in glorious 3-D. The Jonas Brothers 3-D Concert Movie will be comprised of footage from their current Burning Up tour combined with behind-the-scenes stuff on the musicians’ lives. Based on the interest of Miley Cyrus’ outing, Disney could expect to see ticket sales in the neighborhood of $30 million on opening weekend alone.
The Jonas Brothers will rock the theaters on February 27, 2009.
