Warner Bros. Releases Dark Knight Trailer No. 3

Latest Harvey Dent teaserAs everyone and their mother rushed to the theaters to see this weekend, they were in for quite a surprise as the latest teaser trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Batman series played prior to the film.

Ever since the first screenings of Iron Man, bootleg versions of the trailer have appeared on YouTube; The Dark Knight team seems to have wanted to nip that in the butt quickly, as they ended up posting it on their official site this past weekend, which you can see after the jump.

Although the campaign for the film has bombarded us with clips and images of Heath Ledger‘s character, Joker, very little has been spoken of Aaron Eckhart‘s Harvey Dent, who ultimately becomes Two-Face. That is, of course, until this trailer, where if you look close enough, you’re able to see the scars on the side of his face when he’s holding up the gun.

Folks over at Warner Bros. just continue to keep us entertained, as they had just released new teaser posters a mere couple weeks ago (which can be viewed at Omelete). The film is set to be released in theaters July 18, 2008.

‘X-Files’ Movie Slated for July 2008

X-FilesJuly 25, 2008.  That date will be personally significant to me but globally significant to fans everywhere.  Although my husband should be taking me out to dinner to celebrate our 4-year wedding anniversary, I sense that evening will be spent in a movie theater instead.  After all—how often does an film come around?

After years of rumors and denials, what had been looking like a pipe dream is now becoming a reality.  , and creator have finally gotten their acts together and jointly committed to the long-awaited X-Files .  Production is scheduled to start in December in time for the Summer 2008 release date.

Although the cult series only ended in 2002, it has been a whopping ten years since Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were last seen on the big screen.  While the new film is meant to be a ‘stand-alone’ feature, I suspect DVD rentals of the series and movie will spike sometime around June of next year.  I know I could use a bit of refreshing myself; the only thing I remember about the first pic were the bees.  Lots of them.

What’s New With Harry Potter?

Daniel RadcliffeFans won’t have to wait too much longer for more magical action with Harry, Hermoine, and Ron. As recently as last month, Potter author J. K. Rowling finished the seventh and final installment to the series. The last Harry book will be titled Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and is scheduled for U.S. release on July 21, 2007. Handily, the much-anticipated fifth HP movie will come out just one week earlier, so fans will flock first to the cinemas to watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix before rushing to bookstores. The cast that fans have come to love from the first four movies will appear in the fifth. Daniel Radcliffe returns as Harry, Ralph Fiennes will play Lord Voldemort, Dumbledore will be portrayed by Michael Gambon, Hermoine will be played by Emma Watson, and Rupert Grant will delight us all again as Ron. Joining the cast this year will be Imelda Staunton as Delores Umbridge, a favorite HP villain. Incidentally, all of this happens in July – the same month that Harry celebrates his birthday. Coincidence?
