Katy Perry is set to audition for a role in Vin Diesel's new movie.
The "Roar" hitmaker could be turning her hand at acting after talking to the Hollywood actor-and-producer about a role in the xXx action franchise. Vin, 46, recently hinted he is considering the songstress - who has previously had a voice role in The Smurfs movies - for the female lead role and it now appears Katy could indeed be in line for the part.

Katy Perry is more "revealing" than she's ever been in her new movie. The "E.T." hitmaker releases her 3-D concert film Katy Perry: Part Of Me in July and has promised the project - which combines concert footage with her everyday life, including intimate details of her split from husband Russell Brand - will show her fans who she really is.
"A lot of people have a lot of ideas about me, but this is a film that I made for myself, for my fans ... so that they can get the all-access pass. And I've never been this revealing," she said.

Katy Perry’s Smelly Film Crew

Katy Perry has a smelly film crew following her around shooting her latest movie. The 27-year-old beauty is currently being filmed by an English production team for her part-biopic, part-concert movie - which will be released later this summer - but she doesn't understand why they don't wash their hair on a regular basis, but she believes it is down to their nationality.
"I've got friends who are English who are filming me for my movie. Anytime I go out wearing a sweater that looks any type of grandma-ish they steal it from me. There's one whose name is Ed. He's real skinny, he showers every day but washes his hair about every three weeks. That's what the English boys do, all those hip English boys they just don't wash their hair because they think they won't get that cool look. But I love the people of England, they're so lovely and courteous. The real people of England care, they mean well. Maybe they talk crap behind your back, but they're so sweet to your face."

If an animated princess and squirrel can land on the streets of New York in Enchanted, why can’t little blue guys with white hats and pants?
In the upcoming live-action/CG version of The Smurfs, the famous cartoon characters - along with Smurfette - find themselves in the big city after being pursued by Gargamel (Hank Azaria).
Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays will play human characters in the 3D-film while Katy Perry (Smurfette), George Lopez (Grouchy Smurf), Alan Cumming (Gutsy Smurf), Fred Armisen (Brainy Smurf) and Jonathan Winters (Papa Smurf) will handle just a small portion of the Smurf voicing duties.
The Sony production will open on August 3, 2011.

Katy Perry Cameo Cut From Russell Brand Movie

Russell Brand’s kiss with Katy Perry has been dropped from his new movie.
The British funnyman - who reprises his Forgetting Sarah Marshall role of rocker Aldous Snow in Get Him To The Greek - locked lips with his real-life fiancee, who has a cameo in the forthcoming movie, but test audiences were bemused to find the scene had been removed and replaced by a smooch with fellow pop star Christina Aguilera instead.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper, “There has been a few early screenings over in the States and Katy wasn’t in it. Everyone had been waiting for the big kiss scene, but it wasn’t there. It’s the moment the big romance started. And now they are getting married - it’s like a fairytale unravelling in front of our eyes. The scene has got to get back in there.”
Katy - who started dating Russell in September, four months before they got engaged - recently admitted she was attracted to Russell as soon as they worked together on the film: “When he was filming Get Him to the Greek, I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I’m happy - I get a bit childlike.”
Get Him To The Greek - which also sees cameos from Pink and Tom Felton - is out in theaters on June 4.

Sigourney Weaver: She’s already taken on ghosts, aliens and Saturday Night Live—so now it’s time for Weaver to tackle her latest challenge: vampires. In Amy Heckerling’s Vamps, Weaver will actually reign as the queen over two young vampires (Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter) who, unfortunately, find love - and potential mortality - while enjoying New York’s nightlife. Shooting may begin next month.
