Pineapple Express Meets Disinterest at Comic-Con

While it never appears to be a good sign when at least a third of an audience leaves prior to one’s panel at Comic-Con, I am definitely rooting for Pineapple Express when it hits theaters in a couple weeks!
As depressing as that can be for anyone at such a hyped event, I would venture to say that Judd Apatow‘s latest project failed to meet success at the event due to misplacement. I mean, promoting a stoner movie to die-hard comic book fans? These are audiences who went crazy last year over The Dark Knight and The Incredible Hulk, and this year with Watchmen—not exactly the type whose favorite movies include Dazed and Confused or Dude, Where’s My Car?.

Real Wall-E appears in Los Angeles

Pixar‘s Wall-E is set to hit theaters in just a little over a month, so you just know that the hype is set to ramp up leading up to the opening, right? Leave it up to Pixar to take a rusty, old, childish robot and make it so cute that we immediately buy into it and start posting videos of its appearance around town. I mean, just watching the video above, don’t you just feel like you have to adopt the little guy and take him home? I’m betting this will be my favorite Pixar movie since Monsters Inc. How about you? You anticipating this one?
Lindsay Lohan’s Release from Rehab

After some well-publicized hijinks, Lindsay Lohan has left Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Utah for her rehabilitation. Lohan spent two months at the facility after another DUI charge put her in rehab, the actress’s third stint. Following a reconciliation which occurred during Lindsay’s stay, her father Michael Lohan helped her pack her bags for her release. Lindsay is going back to LA to begin shooting on a new movie, Dare to Love Me. She’ll also continue receiving outpatient treatment from a Cirque-affiliated facility in the city. Her father Michael says Lindsay is approaching sobriety with more confidence this time. While at the facility, Lohan was photographed participating in activities such as river rafting, hiking, biking and yoga. She also participated in a work-treatment program, stocking shelves at a supermarket. Lindsay’s earnings all went to charity.
