Jim Carrey wouldn’t want to travel through time.
The Hollywood funnyman - who was in London’s Leicester Square last night for the world premiere of his latest film Disney’s A Christmas Carol, based on the Charles Dickens story - has revealed he wouldn’t want to revisit his past or see into the future even if he had the chance.
“There are some important physicists who now are telling us that all time is happening only once. So I think now is a good time,” he said.

Who knew Troy Bolton was bigger than Harry Potter?
In light of UK’s early response to High School Musical 3, don’t be surprised to see another HSM installment in the theaters soon. Even though the movie won’t open for another 3 weeks, the musical has already set overseas presale records.
As of October 1, Odeon Cinemas - UK’s biggest theater chain - has already made £245,205 ($432,504) in advance ticket sales. That figure surpasses the record set by Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The fourth wizard film raised £227,000 ($400,393) back in 2005.

Christian Bale Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Family
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, Celebrity Controversy, Rumors
UPDATE: No charges will be filed against Bale for the July 20 incident.
Is Christian Bale as dark off-camera as the characters he plays on screen?
According to Britain’s The Sun, the actor was arrested by police in London earlier today after reportedly assaulting his mother and sister at the Dorchester Hotel on Sunday. That is where Christian has been staying since arriving for Monday’s premiere of The Dark Knight. Although the two women reported the incident to police yesterday, officers chose to wait until after the red carpet affair before speaking to Bale.
It is customary in England for police to arrest someone before he has been questioned in connection to a crime. Since the 34-year-old has not yet been charged, a department spokesman could not specifically name Christian in the official statement:
“A 34-year-old man attended a central London police station this morning by appointment. He was arrested in connection with an allegation of assault. He currently remains in custody.”
Bale is next scheduled to be in Spain on Thursday for the Barcelona premiere.

Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Sarah Jessica Parker made their Sexy stroll down the red carpet for the first premiere of their Sex and the City movie in London. The movie will celebrate two more premieres before it comes to theaters May 30.
As thousands of moviegoers screamed “We want Sarah!”, the ladies made their entrance. One BBC reporter cried to American journalists that it was “the biggest turnout to a red carpet premiere anyone has ever seen!”
SJP wore a strapless green gown designed by Alexander McQueen, topped off with a floral motif cap designed by England’s Philip Treacy. Kim Cattrall, sporting an upswept ‘do, wore a red Vivienne Westwood dress, while Kristin Davis was highly formal in Guy Laroche. Cynthia Nixon was daring in a glittering black gown.
As to the movie, that remains under wraps until the world premiere (still scheduled for May 30).

Three-Stop Premiere for SATC Movie
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Paramount, Comedy, Rumors, Upcoming Releases
The much-anticipated Sex and the City movie will make its first premiere on May 12 in London’s Leichester Square. May 15 will see the flick in Berlin for another premiere. Then, after all the Sexy secrets are spilled, it will finally make its way home to New York for a premiere party on known territory (May 27).
Sex movie talk centers around the mysterious death, a plot point “leaked” by Cynthia Nixon in a recent interview. Other possible plot points have been bantered around by entertainment shows. I’ve seen the clips, and Cynthia Nixon looks great in the movie. But who’s destined to leave the franchise for ever? Let’s look at the possible candidates.

Johnny Depp and Tim Burton: Together Again
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: DreamWorks, Warner Bros, Adaptation, Drama, Musicals, Casting, Upcoming Releases
Over the years, many actors have come and gone. Few have had the staying power of Johnny Depp, who continues to get high-profile roles and enjoys his pick of scripts. The raven-haired thespian has showcased his acting talents over the years with an array of somewhat odd roles, preferring darker-toned movies rather than lighthearted comedy. A long-standing director-actor relationship and Depp’s penchant for the unordinary makes him perfect for Tim Burton’s Sweeney Todd, an adaptation based on the successful Broadway play.
The movie, set in London more than one hundred years ago, features Depp as none other than Todd, a deranged barber bent on murderous revenge. DreamWorks and Warner Bros. both lent studios to create this tale of cannibalism, revenge, death, and darkness. By the way, it’s a musical.
Sweeney Todd hits theaters December 21.

Casino Royale Premiers in Britain
Posted by Johnny Mercedes Categories: Sony, Action, Adventure, Thrillers, New Releases, Upcoming Releases
The new James Bond film, Casino Royale, premiered Tuesday in London to screaming fans and one particularly special lady – Queen Elizabeth II. The screening took place at the annual Royal Film Performance, a fundraiser for performers’ charity the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund, and an honor bestowed on only one other Bond film. Based on Ian Fleming’s first Bond novel, Casino Royale will be the 21st film in the series and chronicles the life of James Bond before he became the dark, dashing, smooth-talking secret agent movie-goers know him to be. This, of course, means that fans may have to get on without some of the high-tech gadgets and futuristic locales – this Bond will be beating bad guys in a world closer to our own. This won’t be the first incarnation of the film, either: Casino Royale aired as a poorly received television adaptation in 1954, and later as a full-length comedy, spoofing Fleming’s novel and the Bond character in 1967.
Daniel Craig (Munich, The Jacket) will be the sixth man to fill the giant shoes and, while he may not seem perfect (a blond Bond?), some are calling him the best since Sean Connery. Still, others are upset with the new choice, even going so far as to start an anti–Daniel Craig website. We here at FilmCrunch think he’ll be just fine. We certainly aren’t going to speculate about where he’ll sit with respect to the mighty Connery, but Craig looks like he can sturdily hold his own against any other Bond. The only question now: can he hold his own against critics and hardcore fans? Give him a chance – he may surprise you. Look for Casino Royale in theaters November 17th.
