Jessica Alba and Mickey Rourke have signed up for the Sin City sequel.
The pair will be directed by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller in Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For, which will be in 3D and shot later this year. Other cast members are expected to return but no names have been confirmed.
Shooting will take place in Austin, Texas at Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios ahead of a release on October 4, 2013.
The first installment of the crime thriller - set in the corrupt world of Basin City - also starred Benicio Del Toro, Rosario Dawson and Bruce Willis and was released in 2005. It took $158 million at the box office on a budget of just $40 million.
Jessica has a number of movie roles coming up including Escape from Planet Earth where she voices the part of Lena and Machete Kills. Mickey also has forthcoming films including Java Heat and Black November.

Liam Hemsworth Joins Expendables Sequel

Miley Cyrus' ex Actor Liam Hemsworth has joined the cast of The Expendables 2. The Hunger Games actor will play a sniper in the forthcoming blockbuster sequel, though no other details of his exact role in the film have yet been revealed.
Liam is the latest in a long line of stars to be confirmed for the cast of the action film, which will be directed by Simon West. Sylvester Stallone heads the movie, reprising his role as team leader Barney Ross, with Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews and Randy Couture also returning. In addition, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis, who made cameo appearances in the original 2010 movie, will also return, but with their roles expanded.
Other newcomers to the series include Jean-Claude Van Damme, Nicolas Cage, John Travolta and Chuck Norris. "We'll have a big showdown between me and Van Damme, which has been anticipated for a long time, so it should be a good one. We've got Chuck Norris. I think Nic Cage. We're trying to work out different scenarios. I like using people that had a moment and then maybe have fallen on some hard times and give them another shot," Stallone said.
The Expendables 2 is due in cinemas in August 2012.

First Look: Iron Man 2, Robin Hood Trailers

These two new clips focus on two entirely different types of “heroes.” In the first trailer, the central character uses bows as his primary weapons. In the second - well, the tools are a bit more high-tech.
Robin Hood reunites Oscar winner Russell Crowe with his Gladiator director, Ridley Scott, for a retelling of the famous 13th century-tale. The film, which promises to give us “The story behind the legend. The hero behind the outlaw,” also features Cate Blanchett as Lady Marion, the outlaw’s love interest, and Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes) as Sir Godfrey.
Robin Hood opens on May 14.

New Iron Man 2 Poster Gives Us Whiplash

Move over War Machine, it’s time for something with a lot more hair.
In this new poster for Iron Man 2, Mickey Rourke is featured as Whiplash (a.k.a. Ivan Venko), Tony Stark’s Russian nemesis. It’s a role the Oscar nominee almost didn’t take due to contract negotiations. (I’m guessing the studio will easily get its money’s worth.)
To get a better look at Rourke’s body art and Nicolas Cage-esque ‘do, check out a different picture of him in character after the jump.
Iron Man 2 storms into theaters on May 7.

Iron Man 2 Cast Buffed and Filming
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Paramount, Action, Adaptation, Sequels, Casting, Celeb News, Rumors,
Mickey Rourke recently put on his Whiplash costume in preparation to work on Iron Man 2, and his rippling muscles certainly won’t be alone on the set. Rourke’s costume will show off his tattoos and an electromagnet that’s very similar to the one worn by Tony Stark. With leather and iron braces showing off his buffed-up bod, Rourke will no doubt make a big impression on the big screen.
But he’s not the only actor who will have audiences staring at the screen in wide-eyed wonder. Scarlett Johansson has packed on the muscular pounds for her role as Black Widow and star Robert Downey Jr. is in Iron Man-ready shape for the production.
Don Cheadle (who replaced Terrence Howard) and Gwyneth Paltrow will also be featured in the flick, which is scheduled to hit theaters on May 7, 2010.
