New Moon Director Wants to Make You Cry
Posted by Kathleen Kane Categories: Action, Adaptation, Drama, Romance, Science Fiction, Sequels, Thrillers, Filmmaking, Rumors, Upcoming Releases
Director of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Chris Weitz, wants to make fans of the series cry their tear ducts out.
“We’ve tried our best to deliver on the romantic scenes in the film, and I would like to be able to produce more tears than any movie before, if possible. If we could only weigh them with some kind of cubic tear measure!”
Weitz also spoke out about the lack of privacy there is with shooting the film, thanks to Twitter:
“To be honest, even making the movie is under a tremendous amount of scrutiny now, so that when the cast went back to Vancouver there were cameras everywhere. Everyone knows where every set is going to be. It goes with the Internet and all the information is out there all the time, and whenever one of them is spotted it’s immediately Twittered.”
Make sure you bring your tissue box when the film hits theaters November 20th.

Quote of the Day: Taylor Lautner on Shirtlessness
Posted by Kathleen Kane Categories: Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Drama, Romance, Sequels, Thrillers, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, Filmmaking, Upcoming Releases

“I worked hard to get in shape for this role. My motivation was the movie and the fans, but I don’t want to become known as just a body. If I had to choose, I would never take my shirt off again in a movie, but I guess that’s not very realistic. I certainly won’t be asking to do it, though.”
- New Moon hunk Taylor Lautner on going topless. I hope that he seriously reconsiders that bit about not wanting to take his shirt off again for a film!

Posted by Kathleen Kane Categories: Action, Adaptation, Drama, Romance, Thrillers, Box Office, Upcoming Releases
Online ticketing sites Fandango and MovieTickets are not wasting any time when it comes to jumping on the sequel to Twilight—the fans have made it quite worth it.
Marking the record for selling out screenings earlier than any other film, fans of New Moon have gobbled up 63 shows!
While one may point out that ticket sales have been offered earlier than most for the film, James Cameron’s highly-anticipated Avatar had tickets selling earlier than New Moon and has not yet sold out a show.
Fear not, frantic Twihards—Fandango and MovieTickets are selling a total of 24,912 shows (that leaves you 24,849). The film hits theaters on November 20.

Volturi Profiled in New Moon Pics
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Drama, Horror, Science Fiction, Sequels, Upcoming Releases

In these New Moon photos released by Summit Entertainment, we’re finally getting a chance to see those other vampires: the Volturi of Volterra.
It probably would have been hard to look away from Taylor Lautner’s new physique, it it wasn’t for those piercing red eyes. Thanks to specially-crafted eyewear, you too could look as intimidating as the normally-angelic Dakota Fanning (Jane).
“They’re all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts,” director Chris Weitz told People. “They’re opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can’t really see into them. There’s something terribly off-putting about it.” (Ya think?)

Jacob Black the Star of New Moon Trailer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Drama, Horror, Romance, Science Fiction, Sequels, Trailers, Upcoming Releases
Based on the latest box office results, you were probably one of the many who didn’t watch Bandslam this weekend. That means you most likely missed out on the latest New Moon trailer.
Although we’ve already heard Bella tell Jacob Black that he’s “sorta beautiful,” we haven’t seen his bedroom skills until now. Did you know he could just leap in and out of your window? Pretty amazing considering he’s 30 pounds bigger!
“New Moon is a lot more complicated than Twilight was,” Taylor Lautner narrates. “As time goes on, the heat starts building. New Moon is gonna be stepped up a whole other notch. There’s more action in this one, especially with the werewolves involved. I think the fans are really going to be happy.”
The Twilight saga continues on November 20.

Taylor Lautner Goes Shirtless for New Moon Teaser Trailer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Adaptation, Adventure, Drama, Romance, Science Fiction, Trailers, Upcoming Releases
Isn’t it just like a guy to show off his abs when a girl’s feeling vulnerable?
In this new teaser trailer for New Moon, Jacob Black (actor Taylor Lautner) finally gets the compliment he worked out so hard for: “You’re sorta beautiful.” (Judging by his reaction, I’m sure he would have preferred “You’re really hot”—but maybe Bella will say that post-haircut.)
The full trailer will hit theaters this Friday before the premiere of Bandslam. The movie will then debut three months later on November 20.

You might have already made your Twilight trek to Forks, WA…but have you toured the Northwest with stars from the movie?
Next summer, vampire fanatics can reminisce about Eclipse‘s release during a sightseeing cruise. The vacation, which will launch from Seattle, will begin with a motor-coach tour of Forks. (That’s the real-life city where the teen romance is set.) The journey will then continue on to Alaska. Oh - did I forget to mention that Alice and Emmett Cullen will also be aboard that ship?
Those able to book a reservation will have the opportunity to participate in Q&A and autograph sessions with actors Ashley Green and Kellan Lutz. A costume ball and a charity auction are also listed on the cruise itinerary
