Daniel Radcliffe: Too Mature to Party

Daniel Radcliffe claims that he is too old for partying.
The 20-year-old star no longer socializes with the rest of the Harry Potter cast and crew because he wants to carve out a career as a respected actor: “I used to play a lot of pranks in the past but I want to be a more mature, serious actor now. I don’t get involved with drinking or partying with the cast anymore.”
The actor also blasted stars who are only interested in fame, insisting he hates being “a celebrity.” He is quoted by Britain’s Daily Star as saying:
“I hate celebrity culture, but I’m unavoidably part of it. These people are celebrities as a by-product of what they do. People read every little thing about Peter Andre and Jordan and I couldn’t care less. They don’t want to work, have no interests, no passions, nothing and yet they seem to be held up on pedestals. I don’t think they should be trying to push themselves onto us. It does annoy me of course, but I’m part of it.”
Daniel’s serious attitude appears to be in contrast to his Harry Potter co-star Rupert Grint, who has been spotted at several UK music festivals this summer and makes no secret of his love of wild nights out.

Lindsay Lohan’s 2008 Plans

Lindsay Lohan, still fresh from her third stint in rehab, will host a New Year’s Eve party to ring in 2008. According to US Magazine, Lindsay will hold the party at LAX nightclub. Sources say that Lohan is contractually obliged to hold the party, as she owes Pure Management (the group running LAX) money. (And I thought Disney movies paid well.) A sister club of LAX, PURE, was supposed to hold a 21st birthday party celebration for Lindsay over the summer. The star was forced to cancel when she went off to rehab, though she did pay PURE back the money they offered her. Now she’ll fulfill her commitment with a New Year’s Eve bash.

Paris Hilton Not a Party Girl Anymore

Still shaken up from her short stint in jail (those twenty-three days really got to her), Paris Hilton is determined to shed her party girl image. This new life direction for the hotel heiress would be a lot easier to believe if she would actually stop going to parties (somebody please give Miss Hilton a clue).
In the October 22 edition of Newsweek, Hilton says “I want to leave a mark on the world.” Don’t worry, Paris…you already have. Hilton will be documenting her highly-publicized visit to Rwanda, in hopes of turning the footage into a film. Awwww…it really sounds as though she has the interests of others in her heart. I wonder—who do you think will be profiting from this film?
Obviously not part of her new caring efforts, Hilton is also currently working on the movie Repo, an odd-sounding thriller about transplanted organs…set to music.

Lohan in the News – Again

Less than forty-eight hours after her well-publicized DUI arrest, Lindsay Lohan was photographed by paparazzi early Monday morning after another apparent night of partying. In the pictures, Lohan looks decidedly worse for wear and very much partied out. Wearing a gray hoody, 20-year-old Lohan was spotted slumped in the passenger seat of a car, mouth hanging open, passed out. Lindsay’s current tabloid-worthy behavior (she was arrested for DUI Saturday night, and reports say that an “usable amount” of a substance being labeled as “probably cocaine” was found somewhere in the vehicle) seems at odds with her recent image-boosting activities. Lohan signed on to join Alcoholics Anonymous after a stint in rehab for substance abuse problems…though, judging from recent activities, none of this has helped much.
