Brad Pitt to Retire at 50?

Brad Pitt plans to retire at 50.
The Moneyball actor has revealed he does not plan to stay in front of the camera indefinitely and believes he only has "three years" left in Hollywood, but may turn to producing films instead.
"I've really enjoyed the producerial side and getting stories to the plate that may have had a harder time otherwise."
Despite being keen to step behind the camera, Brad has previously said he would not direct because he would never get to see his family: "I have no aspirations for directing. It would drive me crazy and my family crazy, I'd never see them. It would take me three years to do it. I like what I do now. I love cinema and I'm still watching films I was watching 20 years ago. Making films that stand, that's the goal."

Leonard Nimoy Bids Good-Bye to Acting
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Paramount, Science Fiction, Celebrity Gossip, Rumors, Videos
Leonard Nimoy recently made an appearance at the Hero Complex Film Festival, where he confirmed what many people were hoping wasn’t true: he’s retiring from the acting game. From now on, the man best known as Mr. Spock will concentrate on photography, collecting art and spending time with his family. In the video above, you can hear some of Nimoy’s comments from the event.
Well, I hope Paramount is happy with their poorly-penned Star Trek relaunch. After decades of donning the Vulcan ears, Nimoy’s been driven out of the franchise - likely because he was so disappointed with the terrible, terrible plot of Trek 11. How do you define cop-out? Being unable to come up with a continuous, sensible storyline for a forty-four year franchise - and &%!!ing all over it instead.
It’s no wonder Spock has decided to wash his hands of the whole Hollywood business.

Joaquin Phoenix Dropping Out of Acting Game

UPDATE: Several sources are now claiming that Phoenix’s new rapping career is an elaborate hoax.
Joaquin Phoenix, who appeared in Signs and Ladder 49, among other films, is going to stop being an actor.
The brother to River Phoenix made the shocking announcement to the press Tuesday while promoting his new film Two Lovers. In the film, Phoenix, 34, plays opposite actress Gwyneth Paltrow. “I’m not doing films anymore,” he told Extra during an interview. “This will be my last performance as an actor.”
This is either a very surprising development in a highly celebrated film career, or one helluva way to promote a flick. Without going into detail, Phoenix said he will now be devoting his time to music. In what capacity remains unclear.
Phoenix has been nominated for the Academy Award twice, once for the leading role in Walk the Line and once for his supporting role in Gladiator.
