Rihanna Injured Michael Cera Filming ‘This Is the End’

Michael Cera and Rihanna filming 'This Is the End'Michael Cera had to lie down after Rihanna slapped him.

The "Stay" singer gave the 25-year-old actor permission to smack her butt during a scene for their new movie, This Is the End, if she could slap him in the face, and according to their director and co-star Seth Rogen, Michael had to lie down in his trailer after she hit him.

"We did maybe three or four [takes] and he asked her if he could actually slap her butt and she said he could if she could actually slap him back in the face which she did. And I think one of the times she got him in the ear and it wacked off his equilibrium and he had to go lie down in his trailer for a little bit," Rogen told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show.

The Super Bad star wrote and directed the new apocalyptic comedy in which his friends Michael, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Jason Segel and Paul Rudd all play ridiculous, exaggerated versions of themselves.

Rihanna Lands Fast and Furious Role

RihannaRihanna has landed a role in the sixth The Fast and the Furious film.

The singer - who recently saw her first movie part in Battleship, based on the popular boardgame - will play the villain in the film, which will star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel.

"Rihanna impressed with her acting debut in Battleship. Writers think she will be perfect for the role. Her character has plenty of bite and doesn't take any prisoners - just like her in real life. It's a step up the ladder for her and could lead to bigger action roles," a source told The Sun.

The film will be set in London, meaning the "You Da One" hitmaker could be spending time in the British capital as soon as next month. Some scenes will also be shot in Essex while London is unavailable due to the 2012 Olympic Games.

Brooklyn Decker, Rihanna Happy with Male Cast on Battleship

Rihanna and Brooklyn DeckerBrooklyn Decker and Rihanna loved being surrounded by men on the set of Battleship.

The former Sports Illustrated swimwear model and the "California King Bed" hitmaker appear in the action movie opposite actors including Liam Neeson and Taylor Kitsch and the pair loved working with their male counterparts because they are both tomboys at heart, although Brooklyn was jealous that Rihanna had more action scenes.

"Rihanna and I didn't get to spend too much time together and I don't want to speak for her but I think what we have in common is that we both loved being on set with boys, we're both tomboys at heart so it was great. There was a lot of gun envy, Rihanna got to fire lots of guns. I got to do gun training and stunt training but the scenes were cut," Brooklyn said.

Brooklyn stars as Samantha the daughter of Liam's character Admiral Shane, in the movie about a huge battle between aliens and a fleet of US navy warships and although she found the Irish actor intimidating at first, she loved working with him.

Alexander Skarsgard Impressed with Rihanna On Set

Alexander SkarsgardAlexander Skarsgard was impressed with Rihanna's "work ethic" on the set of Battleship.

The True Blood actor starred alongside the singer in the big screen adaptation of the classic boardgame and he was amazed at her professional she was, considering it was her first movie acting role: "I was impressed by her work ethic. The days are long on a movie and we had weekends off but she'd go to perform at award shows. It was her first big acting job and she was so enthusiastic."

Alexander also revealed how he was initially unsure of signing up to Battleship, but was convinced to take on the role of Stone Hopper by director Pete Berg.

"'The deciding factor for me taking it was meeting the director, Pete Berg. He has a very interesting energy. It's a very big movie but my problem with films like that is sometimes you don't care about the characters, it's just about the explosions, which isn't much fun for an actor. Pete's interested in actors and he talked about my character and his relationships, rather than how cool the aliens would look. That was important. If you don't care if the characters live or die, it doesn't matter how cool the rest of it looks."

Rihanna: Battleship Made Me Fearless

Rihanna in BattleshipRihanna says appearing in Battleship has made her fearless.

The 24-year-old singer makes her acting debut opposite Taylor Kitsch and Brooklyn Decker in the movie and identified a lot with her character Petty Officer Cora Raikes.

"Definitely, I'm a fighter. I was able to identify with the character in lots of ways. She's tough and focused. But embodying her also helped me to become more fearless. I had an incredible experience on Battleship. I learned a lot about myself. I had to ask myself a lot of questions to get in touch with the right emotions. And it was great working as a team, for the first time in a long while it wasn't all about me."

Rihanna admitted she has always wanted to star in an action movie and is delighted by the finished movie: "Funnily enough, action was what I wanted to do. It seemed badass and cool. I didn't imagine I'd be fighting aliens, but Battleship was a great way to get into movies and it was a role I could do. I was blown away when I saw it. It's really fun."

Rihanna and Whitney Houston

Rihanna would give "her entire life" to play Whitney Houston in a biopic. The "You Da One" hitmaker - who makes her feature film debut this summer in Battleship - admits she would love to play the late singer in a possible movie, because she was inspired by her as a youngster.

"My first song that I remember falling in love with was a Whitney Houston song, "I Will Always Love You." It was really inspiring, and it made me develop a passion for music, so really she's partly responsible for me being here in this industry. That would be something that I would have to give my entire life to do, because I would really want to pull it off. That's a huge, huge role and whoever does it has to do a good job," she said.

Rihanna is a Natural Actress

Rihanna in 'Battleship.'Rihanna was a "natural" in Battleship.

The pop singer makes her movie debut in the forthcoming summer blockbuster alongside Taylor Kitsch and Brooklyn Decker; director Peter Berg was delighted with her performance.

"She was great. She has a very strong part. I was surprised no one had ever thought to hire Rihanna. I was a huge fan of her videos. Obviously she's sexy, but she had this real intensity. I'm like, 'Someone's going to get her.'"

Peter was most impressed by Rihanna's attitude and willingness to learn when they first met to discuss the movie: "When I met with her, she came in a T-shirt and jeans, no makeup, very natural. She was like, 'Look, I want to be an actress. Don't kiss my ass. Don't lie to me. Push me. Treat me as you would any other actor. Help make me good.' She is really, really good in Battleship."

Quote of the Day: James Cameron on ‘Ridiculous’ Battleship Movie

Rihanna on Battleship set

“We have a story crisis. Now they want to make the Battleship game into a film. This is pure desperation. ... Everyone in Hollywood knows how important it is that a film is a brand before it hit theaters. If a brand has been around, Harry Potter for example, or Spider-Man, you are light years ahead. And there lies the problem. Because unfortunately these franchises are become more ridiculous. . This degrades the cinema.”
