Unless you managed to seal yourself in a cave the past few weeks, you know the Brad Pitt-Angelina Jolie twins have been born. This Hollywood power couple has never let grass grow under their feet - so what’s next for the industrious pair? Not much has been confirmed, but one thing is certain - these two just aren’t going to stop making headlines.
In case you haven’t heard the news, The Dark Knight is making money hand over fist (domestically, the film has already made well over an astronomical $300 million). It’s only natural that talk of a new Batman installment is already circulating.
None of those associated with the current Batman movies have said much about the possible flick, but one star from the past has stepped forward to put in her two cents. Julie Newmar, the iconic Catwoman who played opposite Adam West’s Batman, has nominated Angelina Jolie for her former role. “Angelina would own the part,” Newmar stated to the New York Daily News.

Frank Miller Addresses Concerns of The Spirit

In a recent blog post, graphic novelist/director Frank Miller addressed complaints and concerns aroused by fans upon the circulation of the teaser trailer for The Spirit, which can be seen after the jump.
In Will Eisner’s comics, the Spirit’s suit and hat are printed blue. In the posters, ads, and trailer, he is seen wearing black. Miller explained that due to printing issues, the Spirit’s clothes appear blue when meant to be black (take Superman’s hair, for instance).
Similarly, the black attire and red hints a tad reminiscent of Miller’s own Sin City, but he assures readers that the teaser trailer is just that—a tease. “To drive the point home, The Spirit, despite any accidental impression left by that kickass teaser-trailer, is a full-color movie. Sin City is, visually, a playhouse for black and white,” he clarifies.

Director Yells Cut on Sex and the City Rumors

The Internet has been aflame since the telltale slip was released that a Sex and the City character will be offed in the upcoming motion picture. Many have speculated on just who will find a horrible fate with the franchise, but are any of them right?
Carrie’s black hair, leading trailers and general paranoia have led to one convincing rumor that it will, in fact, be Mr. Big who perishes in the film.
Director Michael Patrick King, who also supplies the commentaries for the DVDs, put an end to those rumors in recent statements to the press. “Kill Mr. Big?” King asked rhetorically. “I would have been chased around the planet by women with torches.” And that’s not even the half of it.
But with that statement, the director closed the door on all the current Sex speculation about actor Chris Noth‘s character. If Mr. Big won’t die…then, who will? “It’s a summer movie,” King told reporters. “Why would I want to kill anyone?” Could it be that the biggest Sex and the City slip of the season wasn’t even reality?

According to the New York Post, an upcoming moment in Vicky Cristina Barcelona may rival that scene from Wild Things most people know quite well about.
In this film, two A-List actresses will engage in what is being described as an “extremely erotic” lesbian performance. To ramp up the tension, the ladies - Scarlett Johannson and Penelope Cruz - will later be joined by a third.
Cruz’s on-screen husband (and real-life boyfriend), Javier Bardem, is the lucky guy who will eventually turn the twosome into a ménage à trois.
Did I mention that this is a Woody Allen film?

Will ‘Arrested Development’ Come to the Big Screen?

In a recent radio interview, actor Jeffrey Tambor revealed some exciting news to Arrested Development fans. The show may be turned into a movie.
Tambor told an XM Radio program that he recently received a phone call from Ron Howard, the series’ Executive Producer and narrator. Howard wanted to gauge his interest in a possible reunion. It seems there’s been a real “push” to have a film made. Jeffrey expressed excitement about the project and claimed co-star Jason Bateman would be up for it as well.
Although the show had a strong fan base, critical acclaim and an Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series, the show never found the numbers (or network support) it needed to last more than three seasons. So I guess the question is: Can the program translate to the big screen? If a lack of interest was what killed the series to being with, could it possibly succeed in a different format?
What about Bateman? Would he really be up for it? That guy has really had a nice film streak as of late. And let’s not forget Michael Cera, the new poster boy for geeks everywhere.
Maybe the producers should wait and see how Sex and the City and X-Files fare before setting anything in stone.

Nicole Kidman Pregnant

After initially denying the rumors, Nicole Kidman’s rep has now confirmed the actress is pregnant. This news comes after the New York Post reported she had dropped out of an upcoming film (presumably for the health of the baby).
Kidman revealed in Vanity Fair interview last year that a miscarriage during her marriage to Tom Cruise led them to adopt their first child, Bella, now 14. They later added Connor, now 12, to their family.
This will be first child for both the Oscar-winning actress and her husband, singer Keith Urban. The two have been married since last June.

Lindsay Lohan Back on the Party Circuit

Since her stint in rehab, Lindsay Lohan has been keeping her nose clean - and for the most part, keeping herself out of nightclubs. But during a recent trip to Italy, the actress let it all hang out - or at least, her tongue. According to reports, the celeb made out with no less than 3 different Joes in only 24 hours. Only one of these, Dario Faiella, allegedly made it back to Lindsay’s hotel room where she was spotted with him in a state of undress the next morning.
Lindsay is also grabbing headlines by virtue of a recent AOL poll, which named Lohan’s role in I Know Who Killed Me the worst performance of the year. Personally, I disagree, but only because I was forced to deal with Keira Knightley in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Gak!

A-list celeb and famous ex-wife Jennifer Aniston has reportedly paired up with Sex and the City hottie Jason Lewis. According to rumor, the couple is “practically living together.”
Jason Lewis immediately won over Sex and the City fans when he appeared in Season 6 of the series as a young, hunky boy toy for Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones and in later episodes became Smith. Gossip says Aniston and Lewis met through Jennifer’s then-hubby Brad Pitt. One source says the two enjoy spending their evenings at home, cooking and watching DVDs. Reportedly, the pair even spent Christmas together with Aniston joining her man’s family for the holidays.

Will Madonna’s Daughter Join Harry Potter?

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix isn’t even out on video yet, and already talk has turned to the sixth movie installment for the franchise. Sneak peeks of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince are already surfacing, and the casting isn’t even complete.
According to the latest Hollywood-goes-to-Britain gossip, Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes, may soon don a witch’s robe; the 11-year-old is reportedly being sought to join the next Harry-themed movie.
Famed pop singer Madonna has made plenty of forays into the acting field herself, and while her roles in movies like The Next Best Thing and Desperately Seeking Susan were roundly bashed by critics, I still say A League of Their Own is a great movie (and she was pretty good in it, too). Maybe the movie success Madonna once sought will be discovered by Lourdes. Then again, maybe not.

Lance Armstrong Denies Ashley Olsen Romance

Despite the reported sightings and Hollywood gossip, Lance Armstrong says there is no romance between him and Ashley Olsen, one-half of the famed Olsen twins.
Paparazzi have spotted the pair out and about many times, but Armstrong says this is just a May-December friendship, not a romance. Armstrong is 15 years Olsen’s senior, and says that while they have “hung out,” it was as part of a group. The rumor mill has recently reported that Olsen and Armstrong were seen together at a bar, and Ashley was on his lap. Now, that’s pretty friendly. Another report said the pair was making out.
