Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Columbia Pictures, Adaptation, Upcoming Releases

Meryl Streep is back at it again.
In the upcoming Julie & Julia, the Oscar winner cooks up another distinctive voice to play famed chef Julia Child. The movie, an adaptation of Julie Powell’s Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen, tells the story of a temp worker (Amy Adams) who attempts all the recipes in Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking. The film also recounts Julia’s life with her husband (Stanley Tucci) in Paris during the ‘40s and ‘50s.
The Nora Ephron film will be served up on August 7, 2009.
