Charlie Sheen’s Spider-Man Dreams

The Anger Management star revealed he once tried to buy the rights to the comic book and star in a big screen adaptation featuring the superhero and his alter-ego Peter Parker, but he was talked out of it.
Speaking on podcast Mohr Stories, he told Jay Mohr, "I had an office at Orion and I brought them Spider-Man. I said 'Look, in a couple of years, I'll be too old to play Peter Parker. And they said, 'Yeah we're just thinking that cartoons are not the future, comic books are not the future.' And I said, 'But it's 'Spider-Man. I'm perfect.' I had a guy who was going to get the rights for me."
However, the company talked him out of the idea, which Charlie says is something they should regret after later going into bankruptcy. "They were like, 'Nah, we're gonna wait.' They didn't know s**t," he said.

Edward Norton Not Keen on Superhero Movies

The 42-year-old actor missed out on reprising his role as The Hulk/Bruce Banner in this year's Marvel movie for "personal and professional" reasons, but he isn't bothered about appearing in any future incarnations of the franchise, or similar films.
"I couldn't do it for a variety of reasons - personal and professional. I had a blast doing The Hulk. I don't mean to sound snotty but I don't aspire to spend that much time in my life doing those types of films. I have a lot of other things I want to do."
While the Fight Club actor is keen to distance himself from such fantasy films, he is disappointed that film studios have become reluctant to make "more thoughtful" movies for adults. "Studios aren't as willing to make mid-budget, more thoughtful films aimed at adults. It's more challenging to get those films made than it was. There's been a shift from people buying DVDs to streaming them online. The studios have been asleep at the switch and suffered a huge loss of revenue from falling DVD sales. Unfortunately, that revenue was often what helped convince them to make films which aren't blockbusters," he added.
Joss Whedon to Direct Avengers Sequel

Considering the fact that the superhero film took in more than $1.4 billion worldwide at the box office, there was no question as to whether or not Disney was going to ask the director - who also penned the script - to return for the sequel.
Disney Chariman Bob Iger not only confirmed Whedon's sequel gig but also revealed that Whedon will work on developing a "Marvel-based" television show for ABC, which would mark the first time a Whedon series would air on the network. There's no word yet as to when the project is expected to debut.
The Avengers 2 is expected to begin production after the release of the superheroes' individual films, which includes Iron Man 3 (2013), Thor: The Dark World (2013), and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014).

Anne Hathaway Loved Beating Up Men ‘Too Much’ in Dark Knight Rises

The 29-year-old actress plays Catwoman in the Batman movie, and she loved grappling with guys in a more action-packed role than she usually takes on.
"Being in the movie was fun because I had to learn to beat up guys - I enjoyed that a little too much," she said,
speaking at the European premiere of The Dark Knight Rises at London's Leicester Square last night.
Christian Bale reprises his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the third movie in Christopher Nolan's trilogy, and Anne found the 38-year-old star "really inspiring" to act alongside: "The first minute you work with Christian Bale it's just amazing. I found him to be really inspiring. It was really great to work with him."
The brunette beauty looked stunning in a white designer dress beaded with silver sequinned flowers at the premiere, and she admitted she loved wearing her skin-tight cat-suit in the blockbuster.

Christopher Nolan Will ‘Never’ Do Another Batman Film

According to the director's wife and producing partner Emma Thomas, there is "no possibility" of the filmmaker - who has helmed Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and forthcoming film The Dark Knight Rises - taking charge of another motion picture containing the superhero because he wouldn't be able to get "excited" about a fourth film in the franchise.
"No, that's truly a never. I can't imagine a world in which he would ever want to come back. At a certain point it's fun to go off and do something different, you know. We've spent almost 10 years of our lives making Batman films. He was very excited about this film, and the story that he'd come up with, but I just cannot imagine that he would get that excited about another version of the same thing."
Emma believes a third movie in the series still feels like part of the original movie, but she insists doing a fourth motion picture in the franchise wouldn't be appealing to Christopher because the story will have veered so far away from 2005's Batman Begins.

Andrew Garfield Almost Suffocated in Spider-Man Mask

The Amazing Spider-Man star was filming a scene in a sewer when he managed to get water on his spandex face cover, which prevented him from breathing.
"I had to get wet, and I just kind of dove in and didn't realize that water on the mask made it impossible to breathe. So I was kind of, like, suffocating. I couldn't get any oxygen! I water-boarded myself," he said.
Andrew stars as a young Peter Parker in the reboot of the film franchise alongside his girlfriend Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy) and Welsh actor Rhys Ifans (Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard).
Director Marc Webb says he knew the 28-year-old star was the right man to play Peter when he saw him eating a cheeseburger through a screen test he devised where the star would act out learning his life was in danger in the middle of lunch:

Emma Stone’s ‘Morbid Curiosity’ About Stacy

The actress was thrilled to land the role of the superhero's first love Gwen Stacy in the new movie because she is fascinated with their tragic romance which ends in Gwen's death in the comic book series.
"I think I have a morbid curiosity. I've always had this awareness of my own mortality, so it's like, 'Wow, that's pretty epic.' And also the way her death goes is so heart-wrenching and so tragic, it's not just her death but it's all the other elements of it that are a huge draw to the character. Does that sound f****d up? I thought it was awesome. I just thought it was just staggering, and so bold. And I know people boycotted the comics when it happened. It's a really wild and oddly very exciting element for me to play. There's a little insight into my psyche."

Emma Stone’s Spider-Man Pressure

Emma Stone felt "overwhelming" pressure while filming The Amazing Spider-Man.
The 23-year-old actress - who began dating co-star Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) after meeting him on the set of the action movie - found shooting the film to be a "big challenge" because she was so eager to impress die-hard fans of the comic book series.
"The film was a big challenge because I wanted to please the comic book fans so there was pressure. It was very overwhelming that the Spider-Man story is 50 years old so there was a lot of live up to but I hope we did a good job," she said.
Emma stars as "super smart" schoolgirl Gwen Stacy - who is Peter's love interest and helps him to try to stop Dr. Curt Connors/The Lizard (Rhys Ifans) wreaking havoc in New York - and director Marc Webb believes Andrew and the blonde beauty had some "great banter" while shooting the movie. Speaking at the UK premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man in London's Leicester Square last night, Webb explained, "Andrew and Emma had this great banter on set and they were ideal to play intellectual characters. Gwen is super smart, I think she is maybe a bit smarter than Peter but don't tell Andrew I said that."

Michelle Pfeiffer Would Return to Catwoman

Michelle Pfeiffer would be open to playing Catwoman again.
The 54-year-old actress portrayed the sexy supervillain in 1992 movie Batman Returns and enjoyed tackling the role, though she thinks it is "unlikely" she will asked to play the character again in the future.
"Probably, if they asked me. It's unlikely that they're going to ask me," she said when asked if she would reprise her role.
The Dark Shadows actress would hope for a more comfortable costume if she ever did return to the role, admitting the tight-fitting catsuit would become "vacuum packed."
"It was probably really unhealthy and it would literally just start to squeeze my skin. I was only allowed to wear it for so many hours," she added to E! News.
