“She was 15, and I wasn’t allowed to grope her… I’m actually not kidding, there are major restrictions that I don’t remember [from] when I was younger… I don’t want to give anything way. It’s a really passionate, hardcore scene… No, it’s just a kiss. It’s not really a big deal.”
-Kristen Stewart, 19, talking about a scene she shares with underage Runaways co-star Dakota Fanning.

The atypical coming-of-age story focuses on Joan Jett’s relationship with band mate Cherie Currie, played by Stewart’s New Moon co-star Dakota Fanning. While there is no release date as of yet, the movie is expected to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January.
Are you buying Stewart’s and Fanning’s portrayals of the teenage rockers?

And you thought Robert Pattinson’s hair was shaggy.
For her next film, Twilight‘s Kristen Stewart will be steering away from vampire fantasy for a little rock ‘n roll reality. In The Runaways, the 19-year-old will channel Joan Jett, a former member of the ‘70s band of the same name. Stewart’s New Moon co-star, Dakota Fanning, will join her as Cherie Currie, the female group’s lead singer.
No release date has yet been announced for the biopic.
