Michael Sheen Apologizes For His Hair

Michael Sheen as AroMichael Sheen apologized to his daughter for not being bald.

The actor’s 10-year-old daughter Lily, whose mother is actress Kate Beckinsale, was delighted when he landed the role of Aro in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, but the Frost/Nixon star was worried that his depiction wouldn’t match up with fans’ ideas of the role.

“I said, ‘What does he look like?’ She said, ‘He’s bald.’ I think she was mixing it up with Nosferatu, the old vampire, you know? But it shows that people, and this is the beauty of books for a start, that your imagination creates your own version of these characters. And so when a film comes along and you’re kind of going, ‘No, it looks like this,’ then that’s a very delicate thing to get right or to find a way to meet everyone’s imaginary requirements of the character. So I was very aware of that because of my own daughter. I said, ‘Sorry, I’m not bald. I’ve got long hair.’”

When working on his interpretation of Aro, Michael immersed himself in Stephenie Meyer‘s novels which the movies are based on.

“I would have loved to have talked to Stephenie loads about it, but I just kept rereading a few of the chapters in the book - especially the opening chapter where she describes Aro - just looking for anything that would help give me a clue. And then I was just left to my own devices.”

Taylor Lautner Actually Does Not Mind Being Shirtless

Taylor Lautner's Jacob Black takes his shirt off for BellaNew Moon hunk Taylor Lautner recently corrected a quote that he made regarding his shirtlessness, saying that he has no problems with taking clothes off for future roles. Good to know that the world won’t implode now.

“I love this character and I loved putting on the weight, and not wearing much clothing was required by the role. If a year from now, I love a character and a role, I will do it again.”

Here’s to hoping that screenwriters can hook up us fan girls with that…

Lautner also admits that he can’t help but laugh when he watches the scene where Jacob rips his shirt off to daub Bella’s bleeding head: “I start laughing so hard every time I see that scene, ‘Oh, you’re bleeding. OK, Let me fix that.’ So embarrassing.”

New Moon Vamp Wants Tim Burton to Direct Breaking Dawn

Can a director for the fourth installment of the Twilight franchise, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, possibly get any darker than the director for the third film, David Slade? New Moon actor Jamie Campbell Bower thinks so!

The actor, who plays the vampire Caius in the second film, touts The Nightmare Before Christmas director Tim Burton: “I think he’d just change it up. I think he’d screw around with it quite a lot, and aesthetically, I think it’d be incredibly different. I don’t know if the fans would like it, but I’d sure like it.”

Wait a sec—haven’t I seen him before?

Volturi Profiled in New Moon Pics

New Moon

In these photos released by Summit Entertainment, we’re finally getting a chance to see those other vampires: the Volturi of Volterra.

It probably would have been hard to look away from Taylor Lautner’s new physique, it it wasn’t for those piercing red eyes. Thanks to specially-crafted eyewear, you too could look as intimidating as the normally-angelic (Jane).

“They’re all hand-painted, specially manufactured contacts,” director Chris Weitz told People. “They’re opaque red, almost like preying mantis eyes. You can’t really see into them. There’s something terribly off-putting about it.” (Ya think?)

Although we’ve already heard Bella tell Jacob Black that he’s “sorta beautiful,” we haven’t seen his bedroom skills until now. Did you know he could just leap in and out of your window? Pretty amazing considering he’s 30 pounds bigger!

New Moon is a lot more complicated than Twilight was,” narrates. “As time goes on, the heat starts building. New Moon is gonna be stepped up a whole other notch. There’s more action in this one, especially with the werewolves involved. I think the fans are really going to be happy.”

Check Out New Moon’s Hunky Wolf Pack

New Moon's Wolf Pack

‘s cast is steadily filling out…and in a nice way.

USA Today has just revealed the four men - Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Bronson Pelletier - who will comprise the wolf pack Jacob Black belongs to. (Now we know why Taylor Lautner’s role was considered so critical.)

By the way - if you’re thinking that this shirtless picture is nothing more than a publicity stunt, you’d be wrong. The actors, all of Native American descent, will spend their on-screen time this way.

“They went through wolf camp together, and they are in constant training. It paid off as a bonding thing for them and helped them to get to know one another. They drove each other to get more buff,” director stated.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon unfolds in theaters on November 20.

Michael SheenBritish actor will be taking a brief break from political dramas for a theme he’s become familiar with: vampires.
