Although Vin Diesel’s tried hard to branch act professionally, the star of The Pacifier and Find Me Guilty finds himself returning to familiar territory.
Next year, the original cast members of The Fast and the Furious will be reuniting for the franchise’s fourth installment: Fast and Furious. (Original title, I know.) Read Universal’s description then watch the new trailer after the jump.
When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O’Connor (Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmaneuver him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.

After much delay, Bill Maher’s Religulous will finally make it to theaters October 3, 2008. The trailer is out and early reviews are giving the documentary high praise.
Maher, an avowed atheist, hits city streets in the film in an attempt to learn more of the true nature of religion. He converses with every day citizens, over-the-top zealots and many experts to talk about God - so fundamental to so many belief systems.
Already the media is talking about an Oscar nomination, some saying that Religulous is sure to get a nod in the documentary film category. According to Maher, the title of the film comes from the words “ridiculous” and “religious.”

As a High School Musical observer (I can’t really call myself a true fan), I have to say the interviews in the following preview are painfully boring.
But when watched in mute, this clip does provide a few visual treats not see in the previous trailer.
High School Musical 3: Senior Year checks into theaters on October 24.

Russell Crowe and director Ridley Scott, collaborators on three movies, have reteamed for a fourth due out this fall. The CIA thriller, Body of Lies, comes just under a year after their last project, American Gangster, debuted.
In this David Ignatius adaptation, Leonardo DiCaprio co-stars as a a CIA operative (Roger Ferris) on the hunt for a terrorist in Jordan. Crowe plays Ed Hoffman, Leo’s “manipulative” boss.
Body of Lies - penned by Academy Award winner William Monahan (The Departed) - hits theaters on October 10.

In light of Paris Hilton’s recent campaign ad (and her amazing ability to supposedly memorize lines), I could see why some may have temporarily forgotten her acting track record. (Would anyone like to review her appearance on My Name is Earl?)
But, thankfully, we now have a new clip from her upcoming movie - Repo! The Genetic Opera - to give us a painful reminder.
Who knew this movie could possibly look any worse than it did before?
You can try finding Repo! in a theater somewhere this November 7th.

Although I have watched every film in the series so far, I am admittedly not a die-hard Harry Potter fan. That said, the creepy trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has me pretty excited for the 6th installment.
In this clip, we see the young boy (Tom Riddle) who’ll eventually become the evil Lord Voldemort. Those thinking the young actor resembles Ralph Fiennes should know that it’s not just a result of good casting. Hero Fiennes-Tiffin is actually Ralph’s nephew.
Half-Blood Prince hits theaters on November 21 July 17.

W. Trailer Hits the Internet
The United States of America, to date, has had forty-three different men at the helm of control. The first to hold the highest office in the land - President - was a war hero named George. The most current incumbent to celebrate this role is also (albeit somewhat dubiously) a war hero named George.
And I happen to be one of those who believe this current George will have far more historical significance than even his very first predecessor. Thanks to a director/filmmaker named Oliver Stone, President George W. Bush will secure at least a place in cinematic history by virtue of Stone’s new biopic on the man, dubbed simply W..
One letter that somehow says so much. Stone has publicly said the movie will be a “fair, true portrait” of Dubya’s Presidency. Several Bush biographers looked over Stone’s script before production began, each agreeing that certain facts depicted in the film (including a drunken fistfight between Dubya and his famous daddy) are in fact true, as is Karl Rove’s supposed White House nickname “Turdblossom.”

Continuing to update you on everything Watchmen related, we’ve got the news from San Diego this past weekend.
Absolutely everyone and their mother were talking about Watchmen after Comic-Con, drooling over the eight new posters revealed, as well as an extended trailer.
One of the last shots of the trailer, that which depicts Mr. Manhattan (Billy Crudup) blowing up enemy soldiers, is more gore-happy detailed. The trailer also included quick shots of the Comedian’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) scar origins as well as Laurie (Malin Akerman) unzipping her costume…
“People are starting to realize that superhero movies don’t just exist as mindless entertainment. They talk about stuff that’s serious,” director Zack Snyder commented in reference to The Dark Knight. And that’s exactly why we love you and Nolan, Mr. Snyder!
