What would happen if you lined up NBC’s funniest Thursday night stars and pretended they were married? The evening would end in disaster.

First Look: Angelina Jolie in Salt
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Columbia Pictures, Sony, Action, Thrillers, Trailers, Upcoming Releases
In this new trailer for Salt, Angelina Jolie rocks heels, climbs walls and wields guns. In other words, it’s your typical day for the mother of six.
The film, which was originally set to star Tom Cruise, tells the story of a CIA agent who may or may not be a Russian spy. While the story reminds me a great deal of Kevin Costner’s No Way Out, the visuals are more in line with Jolie’s Wanted.
Salt - also starring Liev Schreiber and Chiwetel Ejiofor - opens July 23.

The papers have been inked, and Adam Sandler will become the titular star in the new comedy Jack and Jill. Actually, cancel that. He’s the titular stars. That’s right…he’s playing both roles.
In the film, Jack and Jill are twins and the theme is romance. I’m already feeling kind of bad for the guy who’s playing Jill’s love interest…aren’t you?
The Happy Madison project is scheduled for a 2011 release.

We’re still weeks away from Fall 2009, but the big screen battle for Winter 2010 has already begun.
As of today, there are at least four movies scheduled to open on December 17th of next year. Competing against The Smurfs will be a live-action adaptation of Yogi Bear. Meanwhile, Michel Gondry’s The Green Hornet will now face off against a highly-anticipated sequel from Disney.
Just days after Hornet was moved to the December slot (it was previously set to premiere on July 9), the Mouse House announced that it intends to debut Tron Legacy on that same date. The movie, which would once again feature Jeff Bridges, is a follow to the 1982 sci-fi adventure. (You can view the teaser trailer here.)

Inglourious Basterds: Tarantino’s Most Challenging Film Yet
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Universal, Weinstein Company, Action, Adventure, Drama, Period, Celebrity Gossip, Upcoming Releases
Quentin Tarantino recently admitted that Inglourious Basterds was hard work and has taken over as the most challenging of his career.
The cult movie director began drafting the script for the bloodied action movie over a decade ago and altered it several times over the years before completion last summer. “This is the toughest film I’ve ever made. It’s my Mount Everest movie. Kill Bill was hard, but this was harder,” Tarantino stated.
The 46-year-old says he drew inspired for the storyline from a “f**king cool” movie from the 70s. He explained to Loaded magazine: “I got it from a 1978 spaghetti western called Inglourious Bastards. It was about a bunch of guys fighting in Germany and were condemned to be court-martialed, when their prison convoy gets attacked by Nazis. They escape, so they have to find a way out. They try and get to Switzerland - a neutral country - but they have to battle their way through Germany first. It’s just a really f**king cool story. It was so cool that I wanted to come up with an equally cool film.”
Quentin’s version of Inglourious Basterds opens in the US on August 21.
Getting Into Character: Sam Worthington in Clash of the Titans
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Warner Bros, Action, Adventure, Period, Remakes, Upcoming Releases

Hugh Jackman may be the Aussie getting most of the attention right now, but here’s a name you should remember: Sam Worthington.
Last month, the actor got his big break starring opposite Christian Bale in Terminator Salvation. It was a role James Cameron, Worthington’s director on this December’s Avatar, suggested him for. Now Sam’s testing his fighting skills in a different forum.
The picture above is from Clash of the Titans, a remake of the 1981 film. In it, Worthington plays Perseus, the son of Zeus (Liam Neeson). The “epic action adventure” follows Perseus’ journey to battle Hades (Ralph Fiennes), the god of the underworld.
Titans, which is being directed by The Incredible Hulk‘s Louis Leterrier, also stars Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace), Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale), Jason Flemyng (Benjamin Button) and Alexa Davalos (Defiance).
