New Wanted Trailer Released

And the happiness continues for the comic book junkies out there! Universal Pictures has just released a new trailer for its upcoming film, .

Due out this June, , Morgan Freeman, and star in the graphic novel adaptation, written by J.G. Jones and Mark Millar. Wanted is Russian director Timur Bekmambetov’s first American film.

With the release of the trailer, many have pointed out the major differences between the film and its graphic novel roots. Some have even started to compare the movie to last year’s ridiculous-but-fun action movie, Shoot ‘Em Up; however, I am not one to judge a movie solely based on its three-minute trailer. While I am hoping that this film does follow the comic more closely than it appears in the trailer, I think it looks like a good enough film on its own, no matter how “cheesy.” With a cast like that, how can anyone go wrong?

Justin Timberlake Wears Little for The Love Guru

Justin Timberlake, The Love GuruJustin Timberlake, The Love Guru

Tired of seeing repeat the same schtick over and over again? Well, if you’re a fan, you may have a whole new reason to watch The Love Guru.

The film, which opens June 20th, features Myers as an American raised in India.  He is invited to the States when his self-help advice is sought.  Timberlake, who wears very little based on the preview pics, plays an athlete who has an affair with a hockey player’s wife.  As for - I believe she stars as the vacuous beauty.

Surprising fun fact?  Not including his roles in the animated Shrek films, this is Myers’ first live-action role since 2003’s A Cat in the Hat.  It only felt like he was everywhere.

You can view the Guru‘s trailer, after the jump.

Apatow Scores With Sarah Marshall

Jonah Hill and Jason Segel in Forgetting Sarah Marshall

has brought hope to the comedy genre yet again. The Freaks and Geeks creator has teamed up with past co-worker, (SLC Punk, How I Met Your Mother) to bring movie-goers his upcoming eccentric, new generation romantic comedy: .

Written by Segel and helmed by first-time director Nicholas Stoller, the film follows music composer Peter Bretter (Segel), who was dating TV star Sarah Marshall () for five years until she breaks up with him for British rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand). At the suggestion of his step-brother (Bill Hader), Bretter escapes to Hawaii in hopes of recovering, only to discover that Marshall came to the same resort with her new boy toy. New Sex and the City Trailer

Sex and the CityFinally - a more substantive glance at the upcoming Movie!

While I will undoubtedly watch the release, I must say the newest trailer gives the film a much darker tone than I would have liked to see.  (You can view it for yourself, after the jump.)  Is it because the show is best served on the small screen?  Should the series only be viewed in 30-minute snippets?  Is the teaser simply a bad representation?  (Oh, I hope so.)

Regardless, the clip does give us a few juicy tidbits:

  • Apparently Mr. Big’s (full) name is John James Preston.  (I think I like him better when he’s not an actual person.)
  • It looks like Steve may have cheated on Miranda.  (The Steve I know would never do something like that.)
  • Commitment-phobe Samantha may be wandering from Smith Jerrod.
  • Charlotte is indeed pregant.  (She adopted that kid for nothing.)
  • And last but not least, Carrie’s planned wedding to Big falls apart?

Be looking for SATC to hit theaters this May 30.
