Kristen Bell - who has been with Dax Shepard since 2007 - admits When In Rome producers were initially concerned about hiring the both of them.
“When they started casting they knew Dax and I were dating and almost didn’t hire him for that reason,” Kristen revealed. “I said, ‘I get it, you don’t want drama, but we’re not very dramatic. If you want the best person, hire him!’”
The 29-year-old actress was thrilled when Dax was eventually cast. “They did and it was wonderful,” Bell claimed.

Box Office Breakdown: Valentine’s Day Has Rosy Four-Day Weekend

Despite receiving less than enthusiastic reviews, Valentine’s Day remained the point of attraction for many romance-minded ticket buyers this weekend. Garry Marshall’s romantic comedy wooed audiences over the holiday period while simultaneously breaking records in the process.
Warner Bros.’ ensemble cast combined their efforts to pull in $63.1 million over the past four days ($56.2 million for just the first three). The feature became the highest-grossing film during any President’s or Valentine’s Day frame while also topping the studio’s list of four-day debuts.

Box Office Breakdown: Dear John Brings Down Avatar

Dear John—And they didn’t think we could do it. Take that, blue people! XOXO, Savannah
After an exhausting seven weeks at #1, Avatar found itself in entirely new territory: sitting back at #2. Although the film had broken nearly every record in the history books (and padded another $22.9 million to its domestic total), the 20th Century Fox feature ended its win streak nine weeks shy of E.T.‘s mark.
Taking the lead from James Cameron was the latest weeper from author Nicholas Sparks. Dear John - starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried - was the counterprogramming winner during Super Bowl weekend. The romantic drama earned an impressive $30.5 million and came narrowly close to besting the record set during the same sports frame in 2008. (That was when Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour generated $31.1 million.)

Box Office Breakdown: Avatar Has the Edge Over Mel Gibson
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: 20th Century Fox, Disney, Paramount, Sony, Touchstone, Universal, Warner Bros, Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Animation, Drama, Family, Period, Romance, Science Fiction, Sequels, Comedy, Thrillers, Box Office, Lists,
Despite success in recent years as a director, Mel Gibson hasn’t been seen in front of the cameras in quite some time. Unfortunately, he couldn’t have picked a worse weekend to make a return.
Gibson’s new film, Edge of Darkness, debuted to a respectable $17.2 million over the past three days. While that may - may - have been enough for a first place finish at any other time, the Warner Bros. feature brought in approximately half as much as that other film.
Avatar, with its $31.3 million take, is now approximately $10 million shy of officially taking the domestic crown from Titanic. (The 20th Century Fox film finally become the worldwide leader during the past week.) If the sci-fi extravaganza remains at #1 for
nine more weeks,it’ll officially tie E.T. for that record.)

First Look: Kristen Bell Looks for Love When in Rome
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Disney, Touchstone, Romance, Comedy, Trailers, Upcoming Releases, Videos,
Not unlike every other romantic comedy these days, When in Rome follows a woman determined to find true love; additionally, she falls “victim” to a love spell involving a magical fountain that forces any man whose coin she pulls from said fountain to fall in love with her. Of course, she picks multiple coins, leading a myriad of men to fall madly in love with her, making her ponder whether or not the man she recently met is under the spell or honestly has eyes for her.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall cutie Kristen Bell and Transformers hunk Josh Duhamel star in the Disney comedy, set for a January release. Despite its generic, romantic comedy formula, the fact that the cast also includes Danny DeVito, Will Arnett, Jon Heder, Dax Shepard, Don Johnson, and Anjelica Huston makes me curious enough to see it…
