First Look: Ben Stiller in Little Fockers Trailer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Universal, Sequels, Comedy, Trailers, Upcoming Releases, Videos,
Question: In order to be a fan of the Fockers saga, does it really matter if you know what the f***ing movies are about?
Despite repeated viewings of this new trailer Little Fockers, I have to throw in the towel and admit that I have no idea what the sequel’s storyline is. Jessica Alba secretly has to give men pills to get them aroused? Ben Stiller is not capable of handling sharp instruments? Teri Polo has lost her ability to speak?
Warning: After watching the preview, you might be begging Robert De Niro to erase your memory as well.
If you actually found yourself amused by what you saw, you can make a holiday date with the rest of your family on December 22.

See that look in Cameron Diaz‘s eyes? That’s the look of a woman who is out on the prowl. And in this case—Justin Timberlake is her target.
No - this is not a paparazzi photo of the two dancing at some night club. These scene is from Bad Teacher, a film the former real-life lovebirds are shooting together. In the Jake Kasdan-directed comedy, Diaz plays a money hungry 7th grade teacher who sets her sights on Timberlake, a substitute who comes from a wealthy family.
“They have a shared sense of humor,” Kasdan told Entertainment Weekly. “It’s easy for them to be funny together. You know where the jokes are.”
So will Justin fall for her boozy charm…and will Jessica Biel have to booze it up before attending the red carpet premiere? Find out when Teacher debuts next year.

First Look: The Red Band Trailer for MacGruber
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Universal, Adaptation, Comedy, Trailers, Upcoming Releases, Videos,
Films based on Saturday Night Live sketches are usually as uneven as the broadcasts themselves. Moments of hilarity are typically overshadowed by 60 other minutes of stupidity. So should we expect anything different from this venture?
In MacGruber, Will Forte’s title character is assisted by SNL costar Kristen Wiig and Ryan Phillipe in his mission to locate a Russian nuclear warhead and enemy Dieter Von Cunth (Val Kilmer).
Like your movies sprinkled with date rape, upper decker and butthole jokes? Then this will be the perfect escape for you.
MacGruber opens April 23.

First Look: The A-Team Trailer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: 20th Century Fox, Action, Adventure, Remakes, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
“There is no Plan B.” Well, that’s a shame…because I don’t think this crew brought their A-game to this trailer.
Although I had high hopes for the big screen version of The A-Team, this clip’s left me underwhelmed. Here are a few of my snap judgments:
- Giving yourself a mohawk doesn’t necessarily make you B.A. Baracus…..or a good actor.
- Putting four guys together doesn’t automatically mean good chemistry.
- Scenes involving gunfire from a floating tank are bound to look cheesy.
- Bradley Cooper looks good in and out of a suit.
Were you more impressed with the trailer than I was? Then be sure to set aside June 11 on your calendar.

First Look: Diaz and Cruise in Knight and Day Trailer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: 20th Century Fox, Action, Comedy, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
In Knight and Day, Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz reunite for a film that is probably as far away from Vanilla Sky as you could get. (Cue the applause.)
Based on this trailer, I’d say this movie looks like Mission Impossible meets Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Hancock and My Best Friend’s Wedding. But what is it really about?
“It’s a fun character comedy; adventure, romance—I don’t want to give away too much,” Tom explained to Entertainment Tonight. “Girl meets boy, boy sees girl, girl sees boy, adventure ensues.” Don’t worry, Tom. You didn’t give anything away…at all.
The action-comedy opens July 2, 2010.

First Look: Jaden Smith in Karate Kid Trailer
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Columbia Pictures, Action, Drama, Remakes, Trailers, Upcoming Releases,
“The only way to stop them is to face them” - Jackie Chan talking to Jaden Smith about
his Chinese bullies.
In this remake of The Karate Kid, the drama has shifted from Los Angeles to Beijing, chopsticks have been coupled with a fly swatter and “wax on, wax off” has been replaced with “pick up your jacket.” Otherwise, I think the story’s pretty much about the same…? (I’ll let you decide whether that’s a good thing or not.)
The martial arts action kicks in June 11.
