Lindsay Lohan Fired, Re-Hired on Gotti Film

Around 1 pm on Wednesday, People announced that Lindsay Lohan would no longer be playing Victoria Gotti in the new flick Gotti: Three Generations. Producer Marc Fiore released a statement saying “She is no longer being considered. The talks have stopped. We are going to meet with other people.” He said they just “couldn’t reach terms.”
But before two hours had passed, TMZ broke the news that she’ll be in the film after all. No, Linds won’t be playing Victoria Gotti. Now, she’ll be playing the role of John Gotti Jr.’s daughter-in-law Kim Albanese, daughter of an alleged associate of the Gambino crime family.
TMZ says that Lindsay agreed to act in Mob Street, a different Fiore-produced film, to seal the deal. Linds looks a lot like Victoria Gotti when her red locks are bleached blonde, but she bears marked little resemblance to brunette Kim. Follow the jump to view a few Gotti family pictures.

Lindsay Lohan was an unexpected addition to a recent press conference for Gotti: Three Generations. The movie, which details the rise and fall of the famous Mafia boss, will star John Travolta as John Gotti. Joe Pesci has also been attached to the film; he’ll play Angelo Ruggiero.
And Lohan? Rumors says that she may be playing Victoria Gotti, daughter to John.

Actually, we love this. Lindsay Lohan clearly isn’t doing much, career-wise, right now. The actress was replaced on the Linda Lovelace movie because of ongoing rehab and court issues, but it seems a very meaty role is now in the offing: Sharon Tate, famous Manson victim.
Eyes of a Dreamer tells the story of Charles Manson, to which Sharon Tate is inextricably linked. Tate, an actress herself, was killed while pregnant in August of 1969 by the Manson clan. Her murder is one of the most well-documented and notorious in US history.

Lindsay Lohan Eyeing Comback Movie Role

Lindsay Lohan is currently in-between gigs now that she’s out of rehab, as she may not be going to jail until the end of the month. So maybe she can squeeze a movie in there somewhere?
Producer Nathan Folks is willing to consider it. He says Linds is a friend, and he’d like to have her star in Escaping the Game. The film is about celebrities who have relocated to a remote island in hopes of escape the paparazzi -- a theme Lindsay Lohan can probably identify with.
Folks says the troubled star has agreed to be monitored at all times for the film’s insurance purposes. Lindsay is also rumored to be starring in One Night With You, though rumor further says she might get cut in light of her current legal problems. Lohan has already been cut from the Linda Lovelace biopic Inferno.

‘Pocketbooks’ Writer Now Says Movie Isn’t About Lindsay Lohan

We tried to warn screenwriter/producer Charles Casillo -- who recently told the press that his Dogs in Pocketbooks character is “a role obviously based on Lindsay Lohan” -- that Dina Lohan wasn't going to go easy on him, but we never expected him to fold so quickly.
The comedic movie features a “a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media.” The role will be played by Lydia Hearst. But now, Casillo says that the reports about his character are “totally blown out of proportion.”

Lydia Hearst to Play Lindsay Lohan-Inspired Character

Publishing industry heiress Lydia Hearst, well-known model, will play a Lindsay Lohan-like character in Dogs in Pocketbooks, a “screwball comedy” written by Charles Casillo.
Charles says the socialite will play “a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media -- a role obviously based on Lindsay Lohan.” (Ooooh, be careful, Casillo -- Dina Lohan may sue you for that.)
He says “Lydia is perfect” in the role.
Joan Collins also stars in the movie as a powerful agent.

Inferno Director Pleased to Be Free of the Lindsay Lohan Situation

“I feel like 16 tons of weight are off my mind not having to deal with the Lindsay Lohan situation,” director Matthew Wilder said of his recent decision to replace the actress in the biopic Inferno.
Lohan was set to play porn star Linda Lovelace, but was replaced following her extended stay at the Betty Ford Center. Malin Akerman will play the role instead, and Wilder is pleased with the call.
“I love working with her,” he said of Akerman. “She is sensitive and hard-working and I think it’s a great decision for our project.”

No Lovelace Movie for Lindsay Lohan

UPDATE: It's being reported that Malin Ackerman (Watchmen) has been given the role.
Despite claims that they would wait for their lead actress, the creators behind Inferno will now be recasting their film.
The biopic about adult film star Linda Lovelace was to have starred Lindsay Lohan. The producers felt so strongly about their casting choice, they even delayed production to accommodate her jail/rehab stints. Now, they’ve decided to move on altogether.
"We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan," director Matthew Wilder said. "We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard."

Lindsay Lohan: Still Starring in Inferno

Despite rumors to the contrary, Lindsay Lohan will still play the title role in the film Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story.
Producer Chris Handley re-confirmed the casting decision after Dina Lohan, Lindsay’s mom, called him personally. She was concerned about the media gossip that Linds has been replaced on the project by Sarah Scott.
Here’s the statement:
“The producers and director of Inferno, the story of Linda Lovelace, have been aware of certain media articles indicating there had been some alternative actors considered for the Lovelace role other than Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay’s mother Dina Lohan called the director yesterday concerned that there was some truth to the statements. These stories are completely unfounded and untrue: the producers have been, and continue to be committed to Lindsay in this lead role and are confident that there is no actress that can achieve the dramatic level we require of this role other than Lindsay.”
This, of course, raises an important question: who the &$%# is Linda Lovelace? Lovelace was a former pornographic film star who’s biggest claim to fame stems from her role in the porn classic Deep Throat. Later, she became a big advocate in the anti-pornography movement.

Lindsay Lohan’s Secret Movie Scene

It’s only recently been discovered that weeks before being incarcerated, Lindsay Lohan teamed up with the ShamWow guy to film a scene in an upcoming movie. Linds is wearing the iconic dress Marilyn Monroe donned in The Seven Year Itch, and in the photos she is re-creating the famous subway vent scene. Vince Shlomi, of ShamWow fame, seems to be directing.
The flick is titled Underground Comedy Movie 2010. In the scene, Linds will pull out a gun and shoot paparazzi. She filmed the scene on June 17 while still wearing her alcohol-monitoring SCRAM bracelet - a fact which is referenced in the dialogue.
