Leonardo DiCaprio saw people "intoxicated by their own self-importance" growing up in Los Angeles.
The actor doesn't think he'll ever get carried away with money like his character Jordan Belfort in Wolf of Wall Street or drugs or booze because he has seen people make bad choices and he doesn't want to do the same.
"I grew up in Los Angeles, I was born in Hollywood, so I've seen firsthand the destructive nature of that town and how people are intoxicated by their own self-importance and surrounded by temptation on a daily basis. I wouldn't say it was a dangerous place but there's all sorts of choices in life and I've always tried to focus on one thing. No matter how much talent you have you have to be in the right place in the right time. I understand that I'm lucky to be given this amazing opportunity, it's what I've always wanted to do so I'm not going to waste it."

Brad Pitt Surprises ‘World War Z’ Fans in L.A.

Brad Pitt surprised fans at another screening of World War Z on Friday night.
The 49-year-old actor, who has been on a worldwide promotional tour for the film, delighted fans by showing up unannounced at a screening of his new movie in Los Angeles. The actor addressed the audience before the movie began, according to EOnline.com, and said, "I've been on the road... it's been amazing, but damn it's good to be home. Thanks for coming out. [World War Z] is big, it's bold, it's badass. You've never seen anything like it. It's the most intense thing you'll see all summer. If not, we'll give you your money back. Let's get this party started."
The actor has made similar surprise appearances at cinemas in Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Georgia, and also showed up at a theatre in Austin, Texas, on Thursday.

Ever wonder what happened to Catherine Zeta-Jones? Word is that the actress quit living in Hollywood for the sake of her children.
The Welsh starlet, who lives in Bermuda and New York with her actor husband Michael Douglas and their children, nine-year-old son Dylan and six-year-old-daughter Carys, was so frustrated with the constant paparazzi presence that she gave up her glamorous Los Angeles lifestyle to focus on her family life.
“When you live in Los Angeles you can’t go anywhere without being critiqued—on your purse of the fact that you have gained weight or that you have got spots on your face. That’s not the life I want. Deciding to live in beautiful Bermuda was the healthiest thing Michael and I ever did. Now that I have kids, that’s what my life is about.”
Catherine is also not concerned about turning 40 this Thursday—the same day her husband turns 65—because she doesn’t feel old: “I feel much younger than I am. When you are 10 or 20, 40 looks really old. When I was nearing 30 that seemed like a major milestone.”

While it never appears to be a good sign when at least a third of an audience leaves prior to one’s panel at Comic-Con, I am definitely rooting for Pineapple Express when it hits theaters in a couple weeks!
As depressing as that can be for anyone at such a hyped event, I would venture to say that Judd Apatow‘s latest project failed to meet success at the event due to misplacement. I mean, promoting a stoner movie to die-hard comic book fans? These are audiences who went crazy last year over The Dark Knight and The Incredible Hulk, and this year with Watchmen—not exactly the type whose favorite movies include Dazed and Confused or Dude, Where’s My Car?.

Pixar‘s Wall-E is set to hit theaters in just a little over a month, so you just know that the hype is set to ramp up leading up to the opening, right? Leave it up to Pixar to take a rusty, old, childish robot and make it so cute that we immediately buy into it and start posting videos of its appearance around town. I mean, just watching the video above, don’t you just feel like you have to adopt the little guy and take him home? I’m betting this will be my favorite Pixar movie since Monsters Inc. How about you? You anticipating this one?
