Ghostbusters 3 Script Ready, Let’s Start Filming

We ain’t afraid of no sequel.

Ivan Reitman, producer/director of Ghostbusters 1 and 2, says that “a very good script” has just been finished for the long-anticipated sequel. Bill Murray is the central star in the script.

In past discussions of Ghostbusters 3, franchise stars Dan Akroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson have said they would be interested in reprising their roles … but Reitman also cautions that “nothing you’ve read on the Internet is accurate.” We’re only hoping that doesn’t include the rumor that SNL's Bill Hader is somehow tied to the project.

Most sources also say that Ghostbusters co-star Rick Moranis will not come out of retirement to reprise his role as accountant Louis Tully. Moranis left the entertainment business in the late '90s following his wife’s death.

When it comes to ‘s cinematic career, there are many things left unanswered. What exactly did he say to Scarlett Johansson at the end of Lost in Translation? Was Lucy Liu’s acting really the reason why he didn’t do Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle? And what the heck was he thinking when he signed on for Garfield?

Well - we finally know the answer to at least the last question.

In an interview with GQ, the Oscar nominee explains his participation was based on a few things: a new challenge, a nice paycheck and a case of mistaken identity.
